It basically is divided into "subreddits" which more or less each function as their own message board. So I can follow subreddits for, say, the Broncos, the Grizzlies, whatever TV show in watching, whatever game I'm currently playing; so it's basically just a one stop shop for discussing whatever my various interests might be.

It definitely has its flaws as well, but just the convenience of having all that stuff in one place is what really makes it popular.

I could not agree more on the 24/7 news and the social media blend. It's gone from toxic to as Ninja says - war. It feels like everything spawns a grievance and most of it is contrived by those making money off of the number of clicks on their web page.

I made my comment because a certain well known, respected poster made the comment ‘This is why I don’t participate in game day threads when another poster said something controversial’. It wasn’t all that bad, and a little dramatic, on the well known poster. Many posters have left game day threads, and the forums, because I never see them around anymore.

Explain to me the disconnect folks have of the concept that it’s an opt-in forum. You chose to opt-out. I see it as a personal issue if a person is going to hold grudges because of P&R in other forums. I don’t feel that way.
