Really really good series and explains a lot of why they fell apart at the end. Ironically the Bulls have never been back to the success they were once in so i think Krausse misjudged his own ability there.

On episode 5 right now and getting ready to watch Jordan annihilate my Blazers in a instant replay.... And yes Shane, Jordan was and will always be the GOAT.

The non-linear timeline is kind of hard to follow, but I suppose if they just showed that one season of footage the whole time it would get stale.

I'm enjoying it - not sure it needed to be 10 episodes though.

It's great stuff. I don't know a whole lot about 90s basketball, so most of this is new and exciting for me. The timeline is confusing at times, especially as someone who isn't up to date with pretty much anything that happened in basketball in the 80s and 90s. But I'm glad it goes back and forth.

One thing I know for sure: 90s fashion was terrible.

I don't really mind it being 10 episodes because wtf else is there to watch right now? I'd be ok if it were 20.

I found myself losing interest during episode 6. I think that's partially due to it jumping around so much.

I think i would agree, not just because of the pandemic but i love that whole ******* era of NBA basketball. I love all the rivalries back then and the Bulls/Pistons and Bulls/Knicks series were some of the best ever played.

I loved the part about Perdue saying they would play blackjack at the front of the plane for a dollar a round. And MJ wanted in to which Paxon asked why would he want to play with them for so little money and Jordan said "because i want to take YOUR money and put in my pocket.

I laughed so hard at that.

No sports fans wants an offensive foul called there. People forget that in the 90's there was more contact allowed, and it's the friggen playoffs. Factor in that Russell very well could have been falling...there's not much to nitpick. Well said.

NightTrainLayne

I truly don't know how anyone can watch that and come to the conclusion that Jordan pushed off on Russell.

I remember watching it live and not buying that. Still don't buy it. Russell was already going that direction and off-balance.

Zeke is an awful human being. He stabbed Magic Johnson in the back. He always had something shitty to say about MJ and Pippen. He started fights on the courts only because his goon squad team would keep him safe. He was a coward through and through. Factor in him being a douchebag to Bird about being white and all that...plus he lost a sexual harassment lawsuit...dude is trash.

No one likes him. It's because he sucks.

Yep.

And if you really think about it prior to the Olympic team the Pistons had just lost to the Bulls and walked off the court without shaking hands. That is poor sportsmanship, does anyone really think that the people arranging the Olympics wants that kind of player representing the country? Not likely. I think the only reason why Isaiah eventually got on was because people started to feel sorry for him but i dont blame anyone for not putting him on that first team after the way they handled their loss to Chicago.

Jordan was/is widely credited with changing the drug culture in the NBA. That's a different can of worms but he basically took over the league and when his teams weren't partying insanely and winning, other top stars started demanding that out of their squads. It doesn't mean that he did/didn't partake from time to time. But, some of the old NBA party stories are eye opening. There was so much cocaine in the league you'd have thought Jerry Jones owned every franchise.

Allen Iverson would have smacked the shit out of Zeke. Every other star was 'so much bigger than him' so the fights didn't happen. There's a clip of him literally punching/smacking Bird in the chest and Bird is trying to restrain himself because he knows he can't punch Zeke.

That's the type of guy he was.
