Not necessarily a top 10 talent (though it can be), but who in this draft do you really wanna see Denver draft. Any round. Any position. Even if it doesn't make sense for our needs. Who is that guy? Or are those guys?

Where should I start, I love this draft?
Right now I’m obsessed with Becton and Thomas but there’s so many potential players at 15 that it’s gonna ease the pain of “winning” that pointless game against the Raiders (among others).

Put it this way, even with the Bouye trade If Denver ended up with CJ Henderson I’d be just fine with that.

Wirfs, Thomas, Lamb, Ruggs.
6th or 7th round Donte Olson. Kid is going to be a special teams ace tackling machine and locker room leader for a while.

All great picks. I keep feeling that Lamb is the next Hopkins. I've been all over the wr and tackles in this draft. So I also really like Aiyuk and Austin Jackson. The tackles through the first 3 rounds are Uber athletic
Ruggs and Lamb on offense.
Young has the potential to shit on the league and become the GOAT pass rusher. J-Love has the potential to be a stud QB. I'm a fan of Delpit, too.
Aside from the WR's, we've no use for any of those players.

Ya never know. That's why I ask the question every year. I always fall in love with a college player or 2 during the season. Malik Jackson, Allen Robinson, etc. If you draft good players, they'll find their way onto the field.

The Mekhi Becton's and Jerry Jeudy's are the easy answers that would be great to land, but from a position of desperate need, I'm looking at DL. Guys like Blacklock and Madabuike and Hamilton and Murchison should be available throughout the first few rounds.
And with as many picks as we have...I would love to fill a position of desperate need by spending a 5th on Braden Mann. Get a punter in here that can kick the ball out of the stadium, but also drop it inside the 10 with ease. Special teams kills us and having a punter that can be relied on in any scenario will help tremendously
I love Laviska Shenault more now that he is sliding... His injury concerns make him a risky Top 20 pick - but he'd be an absolute steal in the 2nd round.

Agreed Laviska is a BEAST. He looks special regardless of measurables. Reminds me of David Boston

memes with his production at Baylor combined with his size and sub for 4.4 is almost a lock to go in the first round or at the very beginning of the second.

Walter Football has Mims 3rd to 4th round.
Scouts Inc ranks him 74th overall, that’s middle 3rd.
Draft Network ranks him 47th overall, which is middle 2nd.
I can’t remember a single mock on Fanspeak that has him going in the first, a 2nd round here and there. Most of them being 3rd or later.
And, again, people think WR’s are thick in this draft, that pushes them down ... not up.
You might rank him higher but I don’t pretend to be a draft analyst, I’m just a draft geek.

I don't know that depth pushes down. I think dudes get drafted where they do regardless of positional depth.

FWIW, I did see 3 mocks that had Mims in the 1st, another with the 1st pick of 2nd round, but the rest of the mocks and rankings are middle 2nd and later.

There’s quite a few mocks here and fwiw this is mostly where I get my draft on. I count 6 of 17 mocks that have Mims in the first and roughly half that have him early second or higher, the rest are all late/mid 2nd to later.
Early 3rd isn’t unreasonable, stay positive.

I just watch a LOT of college football. I think a lot of this is completely over-analyzed. Either a dude can play or he can't. I check my opinions against the "experts" and analysts, but at the end of the day I go with my gut. I'm an SEC guy. That's where the bulk of the HS top level talent goes. If you can excel there, you're probably legit. Obviously latr bloomers exist, but if a dude is a 4 or 5 star in HS and kicks ass in college, it means he can play.
Then again nobody REALLY knows anything...including myself.

Case in point Mitch trubisky gets drafted ahead of DeShaun Watson. It happens every year. All I hear now is people talking about Becton and Wirfs. Yet Thomas is 8ne of the most polished tackle prospects I can remember seeing....Ruggs runs a 4.27 and suddenly Jeudy, Jefferson, And Lamb are chopped liver. I'm not saying Ruggs won't and Becton and Wirfs don't have high ceilings. I just get tired of watching solid players get devalued due to over analysation ... And someone else's ye popping combine workout

I agree with you on this J, but Ruggs is an exception in my book. Study the way KC and Houston's offenses change when Hill and Fuller are on the field. They both open up the running game, which is still what the Broncos want to do when it's all said and done. They both put an offensive player on the field that draws safety attention on every play, and they both keep teams from completely stacking the box. Jeudy and Lamb are both potential all-pros, but neither can change the game plan of the opposing defense the way Ruggs can. It's all subjective at this point, but I think Ruggs is well worth the 15th pick if he's there. I'm not a fan of moving up for him. I'm also still an old school guy. Give me the franchise left tackle before any of them every time.

I don't know of anyone on this forum that wouldn't have bet against Lock falling to the middle of the second round last year as well. It's the draft. Anything can happen, and usually does. You're right Jaded. It's possible that he falls to the third. It's also possible that he goes in the first. It was out of line saying that not putting him high is laughable. Let me re-phrase it. I really think he goes low first- mid second round. The way I said it sounded arrogant. My apologies.
I'm a bit of a draft geek as well. Nothing more.

I understand what you're saying. I just hate watching amazing players get downgraded because triangle numbers. And for my money Aiyuk and Reagor offer similar upside
