Here's some bottom of the roster news:

Also, TV maps - a surprisingly large part of the country is getting this game. Don't forget, this game was flexed to the early window.

Most likely not gonna watch this one. Can't handle the agony!
The whole world is now on the Colts bandwagon -- and not a person in the world expects Denver to win...
I wouldn't be all that shocked to see Denver win given that the NFL never makes sense. And I also wouldn't be surprised to see another lackluster boring game where we lose like 20-12 and the offense can't get out of its own way.

The NFL looks weird through the eyes of Vegas.

Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 1h
Fangio on the Sanders trade: “It was a good opportunity for both teams.”
Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 1h
Fangio, on whether DaeSean Hamilton is ready to step into a bigger role: “We’ll see ... I’d just like to see a little more oomph in his play.”
Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 1h
Fangio: No players on IR will practice this week. “We’re just looking to get more information.” Tim Patrick will practice next week and “he’ll probably be one of the designated guys (to return).”
Mike Klis @MikeKlis 1h
Ja’Wuan James practicing, plan on playing all three OTs. Bolles, Wilkinson too. #9sports
Troy Renck @TroyRenck 1h
#Broncos Fangio said Callahan making progress with foot injury but admitted that it’s possible he won’t play this season #Denver7
Nicki Jhabvala @NickiJhabvala 1h
Broncos CB Bryce Callahan underwent stem cell treatment on his foot last month, with the hope it would promote healing. The original projection was at least 4-6 weeks, if the foot healed & he didn’t need another surgery. Fangio said it’s “possible” he won’t play this season.
Nicki Jhabvala @NickiJhabvala 1h
This is the four-week mark since the treatment, but Fangio said the expectation is closer to 6 weeks. Fangio said Callahan is progressing but not enough, and when/if his foot has healed enough, he will need time to get back into football shape.
Nicki Jhabvala @NickiJhabvala 1h
Signs so far point to a missed season for Callahan as he continues to heal. “It’s possible,” Fangio said. “It’s not the hope, but it’s possible.”
Nicki Jhabvala @NickiJhabvala 1h
Joe Flacco on the criticism from Troy Aikman and others that he lacked fire in the loss to the Chiefs: “At the end of the day, I am who I am. ... If I’m being somebody that I’m not, nobody in that huddle is going to respect me.”

I have no idea what this even means. If Flacco is doing anything other than putting up above average numbers vs. the Colts I want him riding pine...
P.S. I don't think anyone is respecting you Joe.

How bad do you have to be to be an OL and get cut from this team, poor guy.

I will kind of half defend him -- here is my rough translation: "As long as I'm taking 9 sacks in a game and throwing generally uncatchable balls all night - who cares how emotional I am? It won't change anything if I come in the huddle and start yelling at everyone when my play is so poor."
So on some level, he's kind of right?

Exactly, he wasn't going to magically change just being in Denver he is this kind of QB, that's why Baltimore knew his ceiling and moved to a athletic Qb that couldn't throw, because at least it wasn't the same shit. I said all summer the fan base there disliked him a lot.....all my previous friends from when i was stationed in that area laughed when we traded for him, and its been non stop shit talking to me about our shitty QB all year, amplified even more by him basically quitting since the Thursday game....
There was many reasons I hated Flacco, thankfully more and more people are finally coming around.....

Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 1h
Fangio: Ja’Wuan James looked “OK” practice yesterday. He’ll do more today.
Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 1h
Fangio: The rotation with James/Bolles/Wilkinson is “TBD” — “I think he’s medically cleared to play, I don’t know that he’s football cleared to play” based on the lack of activity on the field over the last six weeks.
Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 1h
Fangio: “In his case, since it was a knee [injury], he couldn’t do anything for four or five weeks ... a big guy, they get out of shape pretty quickly.”
Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 1h
Fangio on new DL Jonathan Harris: “Our personnel department had seen him during the preseason ... they kind of liked him as a prospect for the future going forward.”
Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 1h
Fangio on whether he’s frustrated, even though he doesn’t show it demonstratively on the sideline: “Yeah, I don’t think you have to do those things to prove that you’re frustrated. Some of the most calm coaches on the sideline have been pretty successful.” Cites Belichick, etc.
Troy Renck @TroyRenck 1h
#Broncos Fangio credits #Colts
GM Chris Ballard for way Indy has played without Andrew Luck. Said, every team has to build through the draft and supplement through free agency. #Denver7
Zac Stevens @ZacStevensDNVR 41m
Von Miller with a telling quote when asked about Emmanuel Sanders: “We’re going through a tough patch here. We just want to get it right. We want people that want to get it right with us. We want people that want to be Broncos…We want people that want to get it right with us.”
Kyle Newman @KyleNewmanDP 37m
Von Miller on his sack shortage so far in 2019: "As tough as it is to see 2.5 sacks for my fans, only imagine how I feel about that, coming into a season with the highest expectations you could probably think of." #Broncos

MO, what do you read between the lines? I read negative things about player development.
It means literally what it says. The guy has been physically unable to throw a football since preseason -- so there's nothing to evaluate. It's cool he shows up to meetings and pays attention -- but that's about the extent of our evaluation of him thus far.
Given that context - it makes sense why the staff feels like he's going to need at least a few weeks to come up to speed -- and even then, he's missed too many reps all season to be effective as a rookie who has never even seen defense line up against him in a real game. So I can see why they're not itching to rush him out there when they feel like they'd be setting him up for failure.
Essentially - it's a lost redshirt year because of the injury.

There’s a couple of opposing thoughts, I suppose.
A.) The coaches think they drafted the wrong guy.
B.) The front office and coaches think they have a guy whose still hurt.
C.) The front office and the coaches have the philosophy I’ve been talking about: They don’t play rookie quarterbacks.

He’s been throwing for almost three weeks now.
(Clarification ... throwing doesn’t mean he’s ready to play ... but we do know he’s been throwing.)

I see it as they like Drew and think he can be the goods but they do not think he is close to ready and if they put him out there it will set him back. So with that in mind they are not going to play him until (as reported by klis or someone) little to nothing until the last 2 games of the season or so.
I cannot say I agree with that, but they also know a few more things about football than I do. Scangs esp. So if he thinks Drew would be set back, then I reluctantly would have to go with it. Honestly, Flacco sucks so much I would rather see what Kelly or the other QB pre season hero- from the vikings- whatever his name is play for us. They will suck as much, maybe less, but theyre more fun to watch than flacco.

Keep drafting QBs that you don’t think are ready and give large contracts to shitty veterans to mentor them. We’re stuck in purgatory.

Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 32m
Elijah Wilkinson could “possibly” play some LT Sunday, but Bolles will start.
Nicki Jhabvala @NickiJhabvala 33m
Vic Fangio said it's "50-50" if Bryce Callahan will play or not play this season.
Andrew Mason @MaseDenver 33m
Fangio, on the weirdness of Fant’s injury: “There’s been a lot of weird injuries at times, but that one — it’s in the top five."
Not as weird as what happened to Joe Sakic while running his snow blower.

Yes. Like a stopped clock is right twice a day. :coffee:
“At the end of the day, I am who I am. ... If I’m being somebody that I’m not, nobody in that huddle is going to respect me.”
Respect is earned and you haven't earned it Flacco. You getting sacked 9 times is not an accident. Do you think there are no other teams with bad OLs in the NFL these days? At least 10 other teams have OL woes as bad or nearly as bad as Denver's. I know here in Denver we think our OL is the worst in the NFL, and they are pretty bad. But, there are other teams out there with OLs that suck too.
And yet you don't see their QBs getting sacked 9 times a game.
See, Joe, you're holding the ball too damn long. Over 3 seconds on almost every passing play in the Chiefs game. And it's not like the Chiefs have a pass rusher like Kalil Mack either. Their defense sucks big monkey balls. Until they throttled the Broncos offense they couldn't stop anybody from rushing the ball all day long. Their last 2 opponents dominated the time of possession, rushed for over 150 yards and won both games. At Arrowhead.
No, Joe. Despite Garrett Bolles' contribution to NFL history, this one's squarely on you. You, sir, suck. That is all now. :coffee:
Cugel
10-25-2019, 06:43 PM
Here's the deal Joe. The Texans, at Arrowhead rushed 41 times for 192 yards and 3 TDs against that Mighty Chiefs defense the week before they beat you into the turf. They totally dominated the Chiefs and won 31-24.
The week before that, the Mighty Chiefs defense gave up 180 yards to the Colts. Also at home.
So, let us not hear any more about people not respecting you Joe. Why, given your performance, would anybody respect you? Ever?
Why would we NOT start Drew Lock immediately? Is there any doubt in any of your minds that Drew Lock could not possibly be worse than Joe Flacco was on Thursday Night, regardless of whether he's ready or not?
Was Joe Flacco ready against the Chiefs? How could Lock possibly be any worse than that?
