Great player. Wish we had players with that kind of ferocity

He'd be flagged every other play nowadays.

Crazy Bill will always be one of my favorite Broncos.
We could use some of his intensity on the team now.

Unfortunately Nomad is right though, Bill would be suspended much like Burfict. Bill was an amazing player but he never shied from playing dirty. Just a totally different league now.

True enough.
The NFL has come a long way from "NFL Crunch Course"...
I remember watching this on Fridays before a Saturday game when I was playing university ball... way back in '88.
Still brings back great memories..

I'm not endorsing it, just saying it's what I was raised on.
This was football in the 80's.

The actual video starts at 2:30.

Miss the grit of those days of my youth.

Romo was a POS, weird how that escaped Broncos fans attention.

I would have thought you loved that kind of guy seeing how you clamor for AB and such. Lol

That was the old me, the idealistic me ... I hated him.

Even now I am not down with someone that spits in a mans face.

Some call Romo a POS, some dont.

Im not judging his character, Im judging him as a football player.

FLAT.

OUT.

STUD.

This is the the junkyard dog incarnated. Some men will not give an inch, Romo will not give you a hair.

Spitting in the face, all that.....it was dealt with.

Junkyard dogs let the spit fly.

(caveat: If a man spits on me, you just shoved all in)

What if Stokes spit in Romo’s face? Changes everything.

Nah, not for me anyway. Like i said, i dont think Romo will be man of the year and he was a very dirty player let alone had some very problematic character issues but it cant be denied he was a great LB and a high intensity guy on the field. Much like AB both men are great players at their respective positions but both men have high character issues. Its strange to me that you dislike Romo for spitting in a mans face but dont care that AB sexually assaults women and would want him to be a Bronco. That line of thinking makes no sense to me.

LoL. Lame (is this better wave) excuse not to like him.

I dont have a problem with being angry or disliking Romo for doing that. Not sure if i saw it as a racial thing back then because it seemed Romo kind of hated everyone on some kind of level but Shannon at the time addressed it perfectly that its just downright disrespectful to do that to another human being.

It wasn’t racial. Good Lord. Heat of the moment.

I spat in a guys face before we got in a fight. Good lord I was out of line for that. I was sometimes a little shit as an eight grader.

I need you to understand, I never meant to say I don’t care about AB and his litany of defects, I was trolling the moral high ground ... moral high ground that I never took (except back in Romo’s day).

I also never said I didn’t want Romo on my team, I said I think he’s a POS. I’m serious when I say this, I will take 53 Romo’s over a team of Boy Scouts.

As Scott Hastings says, I measure everything with the same yard stick, if we ignore when other people do AB thangs then I will ignore it when AB does AB thangs.

And you know who I’m talking about.

Sure but i think we both also understand that if Romo had done those things in today's NFL he wouldnt be employed. The only reason why he still played back then was because the NFL different give a shit about character issues as much as they do now.

Some people want football players to be good human beings.. I really Don’t give a shit about that. I love The guys who put fear in the other side. Romo was a nut and a flat out bad ass. We could use a few Romos now.
This game has gotten soft. The broncos have gotten soft. I wish Someone would spit in Flacco’s fave to wake his ass up from his nap..
