Talked to #Broncos Ron Leary today. He said he will definitely be ready to start on Monday night. Said was surprised at all the fuss. Team has taken cautious approach as he recovers from Achilles surgery. Big Ron can be big factor for Oline that should be improved #Denver7

The universal reaction from the Broncos before practice Friday regarding Raiders coach Jon Gruden’s announcement that he expects receiver Antonio Brown to play Monday night: Not surprised.

All heck broke loose at the Raiders’ facility Thursday when news leaked of Brown’s confrontation with general manager Mike Mayock, which some speculated could lead to a suspension. The Broncos did not practice Thursday so Brown’s status didn’t impact their preparation.

When the Broncos started Raiders Week on Monday, Brown was scheduled to play, the same for Wednesday’s practice. And the same for Friday’s practice, after Brown apologized to teammates earlier in the day.

I still think the most baffling non-game decision I've seen by our coaches was making the injured guys travel to SB48 separately a few days later.

I never could figure that one out either. Was really disappointed in that decision.

But was it the coaches, or the suits? I thought it was the execs that made that decision, which they thankfully rectified the next time around, bringing the entire organization to SB50.

John Fox was not a great coach. Giving how much talent he had in Carolina, and at Denver, it always felt like he was just a good coach in great situations...it was surprising that he was so stupid on that one.

I remember being bothered/upset watching Sportscenter the night the Broncos travelled to NY for SB 48. The clips of them getting off the airplane, and virtually all of them had their phones out videoing the experience. Like kids at Disney or something. I thought then that they looked unfocussed and out of place. They were just happy to be there.

So. .. as to being "focussed" Fox missed the boat on that one.
