I just rewatched this game recently. If you have three hours to kill, I recommend it heartily. Terrell Davis was a man among boys, and this O-line's run blocking is a wonderment. Watch what TD does to Dallas in just the first quarter...

I'll have to watch that again. Listening to the first few minutes though, reminds me of how much I loved listening to John Madden call games.

How there was ever a debate about Davis being in the HOF is beyond me. Dude was just special.

The length of his career was too short and he played with an All Star OLine. If he had a few more seasons thered be legit conversations of GOAT status.

Trio and Error, if you’re wondering who sings that song that’s stuck in your head.

Awesome, loved that they kept the commercials in there too! Surprised how many of those I remember...

I remember like '92 or '93 when the broncos played the cowboys with Tommy Maddox and almost beat them...something like 24-22.

My God! I'd forgotten what football was like BEFORE the era of endless replays. There was a flow to the game. Things happened. A TD. No flag? We move on to the next play, instead of endless ******* reviews and nobody can celebrate until 5 minutes after the play when the ******* officials finally make up their minds.

By that time, it's an anti-climax. These ******* stoppages for reviews all the time just kill all fun out of the game. They should just let the referees ref, and screw it! If they get something wrong, then it's wrong. No review, unless a coach exercises his challenge. But, no challenge on non-calls!

It's SAD how much better NFL broadcasts used to be! :tsk:

Yeah, I had to stop watching after that. Here's my A-10 bro rolled up by dirty chop as TD saunters into the endzone. Tainted win.

While that was certainly an illegal, and dirty, chop block this statement is demonstrably false. Chad didn't miss a single game in 98 or even 99. He missed half of 2000 with a misdiagnosed spinal cord injury and never played again.

Oh I’m sorry, I’m just going by what Henning said at the time.

Doubt it, this was from horses mouth during rule changes to chop blocks. Interviews and such.

Ahhh. Hmm... very interesting that he played two more years without missing a single game, left the game due to a neck injury, get blames that game. I guess the horse is full shit.

This was in the height of the ZBS bitching, after he retired.

He may have spoke postgame about career ending injuries after playing Denver as most their losing opponents accused the Broncos of cheating.

Yeah, I was really digging it until the Henning thing. Just spoiled it for me since I had the beers with the dude in the squadron bar.
