Probably about the same for me. The excitement really isnt there like it is in college basketball. Even though i will back the Blazers i know almost nothing about them in terms of their players and how good/bad they are. I know Liillard is probably their best player but the big names of the NBA dont seem to stand out anymore like they used to.

Back in the 90s, I was a huge Suns fan...KJ, Charles Barkley, Mark West, Three Point Range Danny Ainge, Wayman Tisdale, Thunder Dan Majerly...those were the days. The Suns/Rockets playoff series...the Finals against the Bulls...basketball was a blast back then. In the mid-2000s when I went back to Phoenix on leave and went to a Suns game. The game had just changed too much for me to enjoy. It's only gotten worse IMO.

Simmons' game doesn't fit with Embiid.

I would love for them to flip Simmons for a true shooting point guard...or the picks to get one. On the other hand, if Simmons could shoot from anywhere beyond 10 feet, I'd probably actually trade off Embiid. Because let's face it...he won't be playing longer than another 4-5 years.

Has there been a more dominant shooting performance this year, factoring in the degree of difficulty?

He would have been sent to the Lakers and the return was pretty average because everyone knew he wanted out. Owners get super pissed because they thought L.A. was getting a sweetheart deal and they lobbied Stern to nix it. Stern to this day denies wrongdoing, but it's one of the reasons why he's hated so much by Laker fans, and loved by Clipper fans.

The first championship GS got against the Cavs meant nothing because Love and Kyrie missed almost all of it.

They choked away a 3-1 lead against LBJ and showed how weak they were mentally.

KD came in and made it his team come playoff time, enough with how it's Steph's team - it's not your team when playoff time rolls in and you know KD is the man. Enough with the argument that without KD they do great in the regular season - they never got him for the regular season. They got him for the playoffs. If the regular season meant that much then the Warriors would have beaten LBJ in that fateful series.

Now you're seeing Klay and Steph fail to carry a team against an elite opponent in the finals.

KD is their savior. And he is the biggest reason why GS has so many rings recently.

KD critics should apologize to him. He proved he was right to leave RWB, the true cancer, and OKC, an inept organization. He is showing right now that GS needs him.

Peasants.

The Warriors of the past, pre-KD, had strength in numbers. Barnes, a younger better Bogut and Iggy, and a bench that was deep helped out the two guards.

Right now they have an injured center in Cousins and no Durant. They have a two man team, and are missing open shots. Steph and Klay are both streaky shooters, so they have lapses, which is fine because they're great.

The Warriors cannot beat the Raptors in a seven game series without Durant. I doubt they can even get a game without Durant sans MAYBE one at HOME.

But Durant won't be at full health. Therefore, this series is over. Raptors in six.

Man.....I was thinking Toronto Raptors....Vince Carter.....but I googled and that was a long time ago. LoL. Oh well.....Raptors have never won a championship, it's time they do. Is that Paul Gasol's brother, or cousin?

Brother.

Klay just got hurt, and GS is throwing away the little lead they had.

The Omens are clear.

Apparently the Warriors didn’t get the memo.

It was a huge stroke of luck that the Raptors couldn't make a shot for an extended stretch in the 4th. It's a miracle GS won - I haven't seen the box and one defense since I covered college sports. That's how depleted the Warriors are offensively.

GS only has one ring without KD and it came against a Cavs team without two of its stars.

It's KD's team.

It's cool he got his ring. It is an accomplishment and if he's happy then that's what matters. But I find his accomplishment less worthy of celebration than if he were to have won it a less easy way by going to a team that was not a GOAT superteam.

I can't hate on KD for leaving a toxic environment in OKC, Westbrook has proven all we need to know. Hating on him for joining a super team to get rings? That's legit, but can you really blame him? Calling him a ***** for getting hurt? I think we can put that to bed.

KD is a loser who likes to get his ring the easy way, but I give him credit for going out and at least trying to help his team last night. I was impressed.

Even if it was a ******* stupid thing to do and the Warriors org screwed him over by even letting him go out there.

The silver lining is his player option. $31.5mm to rehab on the warriors dime.

OAKLAND, Calif. -- The NBA said the Toronto Raptors' Marc Gasol should have been given two free throws with 49 seconds left of Game 5 of the NBA Finals in Toronto, a game that the Raptors lost to the Golden State Warriors by one point on Monday.

Gasol was fouled by the Warriors' DeMarcus Cousins on a drive, the NBA said in its Last Two Minute Report that was issued Tuesday. Gasol missed the shot and tumbled to the floor, but no foul was called.

Golden State led 106-103 at the time. The Warriors wound up prevailing 106-105, staving off elimination and sending the series back to Oracle Arena for Game 6 on Thursday night.

The NBA said Cousins moved into Gasol, "initiating contact that affects his driving shot attempt."

The Warriors without Durant beat a Cavs team with no Love or Kyrie. Then they blow a 3-1 lead. They then lose this series.

That's how much of an impact Durant makes.

I hope he can come back to full form.

Eh. Not really. Durant was out and then got a whole new injury. Then Klay misses a game and then goes out last game as he's torching them. Iggy and Looney had serious injuries, too.

This will be the one title that they sneak. They won't replicate it again.

It's a title that they will cling to because they have to. A disappointing end of a season with probably one of the worst teams to ever win the championship. And a bunch of lame loser Canuck fans get to be happy.

This is one of the worst days in sports history. There is no God, and I am eating salad now.

Disagree.

The Raptors not only made a great run in the playoffs beating some teams they were predicted to lose to but managed to jump up on a much deeper Warriors team in which their star player (Curry) missed a game winning shot last night that would have extended the series. Nope. I wont let anyone take away from what the Raptors did this year.

They beat a team on the way with a banged up Embiid. They needed that to beat the sixers.

They needed Klay and KD out to barely beat the Warriors. The Warriors weren't deep. They were shallow. KD Klay out. COusins and Loony, barely out there. Iggy hurt. They lost a lot of their depth when they signed KD because of cap considerations.

The fact that they barely beat the Warriors is a testament to how weak of a title team the Raptors are.

I'm happy for Kawhy.

Durant being injured was Sports Gods Karma for signing with a super team because he could never win a title without being on one. But don’t worry, if my boy Kawhi signs with the Lakers that Karma will move to L.A. And the Gods weren’t done because now Durantula and Klay being out will keep the warriors from winning next season, and their window will officially be closed by age after that. Bwahahahhahah

That super team beat a crippled Cavs team and couldn't do shit without him in the finals. Durant basically proved how bad OKC was, and how GS is his team. Curry isn't the man like Durant come finals time.

The basketball gods love the Lakers, historically speaking.
