Damn Jon I always loved him as an analyst and his matter of fact endorsement of two Broncos greats is pure gold

It's really hard to find a safety that lays down wood...

Well with all the rule changes. It's pointless to have that enforcer on the back end anymore. Now that said there may be guys that could play that way but don't because of the potential for game-changing penalties. It just really has changed the whole dynamic of having mean nasty strong safeties.

So he's saying he would have traded them away for picks.

I didn't know I liked Ed Reed this much:

Former Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed - the Defensive Player of the Year in 2004 - dropped a bomb yesterday when talking about his Hall of Fame candidacy with Bleacher Report.

“I pray to God that Steve Atwater gets in,” the 9-time Pro Bowler said. “If I get in and he don’t get in, I’d rather give my space to him.”
