I don't think there really are. Werewolves are pretty lame.

They turn into dumb beasts. They don't have the gravitas or intrigue of Vampires.

Meh.

There was a solid werewolf movie six or seven years ago that I liked. Benito something or other was involved in it. Nice flick.

Meh.

Vampires are just wimpy ass European pussies. Werewolves are brutish and fierce. I'm not a fan of either in terms of interesting/frightening horror movies go, but there is at least one good werewolf movie.

One of the best scenes ever where my boys take the vamps to the woodshed.

But the end result, though.

Y'all picking the highlights and acting like the rest didn't happen.

I'm going to level with you: when the mythos is they get bitten and turn into a mindless beast it's a pretty cut and dry creature. When a werewolf is sentient and controls its form, etc. then it's just a less interesting mythos or origin than Vampires.

I played a little whitewolf, if you've ever heard of it broski.

And thus the Lycan is the highest level of achievement for the werewolf pyramid. :)

Is there any Werewolf as Iconic as Dracula?

Also, leave it to a Vampire movie to make Werewolves look gooooooooooood.

Yea, but then you realize the Vamps have no loyalty between them. Lol

I don't know I could list 5, but the only one I've watched multiple times is American WW in London. I really enjoyed Dog Soldiers as well. I wonder if I grew up in the 50's or 60's if I would have been enthralled by the originals of that era. They left an impression on S. King.

I'd like to see The Howling but I was either too young or scared to recall it, and the library doesn't have it.

I'd never seen The Howling. Found it on Shudder (which I just subscribed to, pretty good horror content). Excellent movie.

I listened to the Ringer’s Halloween pod. I think it was eight episodes. The podcast was excellent if you’re interested about how the movie was made and the impact it had on the horror genre and pop culture.

Also, Shudder was advertising on it, and sure enough, I loved the catalog when I looked at it. Even has some Hitchcock.

That was Dracula in wolf form. Its why he somehow enables Rider's character to forget what she sees.
