Normally, if I go below a quarter of a tank it's because I'm poor and waiting for a paycheck lol. Which isn't often. Typically if it gets to about half a tank I top it off to full again. It's a lot easier these days because the hybrid doesn't use nearly as much gas.

Here's a random complaint. My wife can't decide about the color of our new roof shingles. Just today she's throwing out pewter as her color. Meanwhile I'm talking to the roofer and he wants to get this job done asap. They are tearing out shingles above my head this moment. Pick a damn color, woman!

Well, you can. Pewter, barkwood, weathered wood, goatsheather, absinthe, cherrypine, you name it. I made those up but I bet at least one of them is real. The roofer--and maybe he missed an opportunity in life as a salon or day spa guy--pointed out how the pewter would clash with the tone of our bricks. So I think I'm good.

Stick with something that fits the era of your house. I went with a barn red color mixed with black. It’s cool and matches the era my house was built in (early 80’s).

True story. We lived in an HOA in Graham, Wa. There was no ordinance for roof color, because I guess it didn't cross the HOA minds. Anyway, a house put on a red metal roof. The HOA went after them to put back on a black shingled roof. The court sided with the home owner. Needless to say, there was an ordinance immediately implemented, but that house was grandfathered in. And the homeowners did it as a **** you to the HOA. I didn't know all the details of why it came to that.

I work at a park. There are two old hens that do the same thing. They wrote down 4 pages worth of faults with the park. It was as petty as needing to pressure wash every 3 ft post that goes along the 1 mile walking trail. Some people need to find hobbies when they retire.
