Well, it depends on how you define 'so good'. Let's define it as good enough for Broncos fans to say he belongs on the Broncos 53 man roster as one of the final cuts.

I think it's false to say 'if he was so good, he would have been picked up on waivers.'

First, he could absolutely be that good or better, but no team is willing to give him a chance. It's a risk to invest resources in the unproven 2d year player. They might be concerned about his turnover issue. They might be put off by him not making his first team. They might like his tape but know their own guy, who is actually a bit worse, a little better. They might like the guys that know their system already from camp installs. They may have under-scouted.

There are many reasons he could be 'so good' but still not get picked up on waivers.

As long as you don't think that those of us hoping he would land on the 53 think he was a lock for MJD production and the Broncos are morons, we are probably pretty close in our outlook on this one. If you ask me, he is a natural runner inside and outside the tackles, with a fumbling issue that didn't resurface in 2018, who is excellent in space but may be a liability in pass pro for now. No idea about his locker room and leadership qualities, but his film this preseason was solid. His special teams value might have been his downfall, but idk. Given that the Broncos are looking for a 50/50 split in run pass playcalling (at least they should given our QB) it seems wise to have another talented back on the roster, rather than so many ILB. In addition, Booker has not shown the vision and natural instinct that Henderson has shown since day 1, and both have ball security issues. Booker may have the edge in pass pro, so I can understand that, it's just surprising to drop a guy who demonstrated those core RB skills at a higher level than one they kept.

What I saw doesn't matter. What matters is that no team thought this guy was worth a roster spot. But yeah, I think Booker sucks. As for Henderson, I watched every preseason game, and I barely remember anything he did. So he didn't exactly make some huge impression on me.
