Unfortunately, we are done with pets after Tiny. I like having a dog around, but the wife doesn't want another one. We adopted Tiny back in 2013.

If everyone adopted a cat or dog there would be empty shelters and no animal homelessness

I already have two cats and hate them both.

J/K, but don't need another pet. Nice what they're doing though. I hope these critters find a new home.

Pugs can be high maintenance with medical issues.

right now i just have the 4 lb chihuhaua. he turned 1 like last week. I got him some Taco Bell. :)

I found the terrier/pitt mix a mountain home out in Evergreen with a member of the previous owners extended family. She loves it out there.

If I were to get another dog, I'd get another pit.

yea the one i housed for like 4 months was great. She would crawl into my bed and take over the whole thing. And even put up with the 11week chihuahua puppy nipping her 24/7.

I just live in southwest denver, and its not comparable to the amount of yard space out in Evergreen. I know she is free to run out there.

cool stuff. Big brown eyes staring at you :)

glad you adopted a black dog as well.

Black dogs are more likely to be euthanized then brown, white, other colors.

Pugs can be high maintenance with medical issues.

But instead of alimony you can just throw them off a bridge b

Here's my two fat-cats. We had a black one for 18 years that had to be put down finally. The tabby replaced him.

We had a black lab. He was my hunting pal, and a great member of the family. We had him from '98 to '05. He got stomach cancer, the vet gave him a quality of life, and we had to put him down. It was devastating. He sits on the piano along with our Golden, who passed away last Sept from a spinal embolism....another devastating loss.

Hey, Falco....this is a good looking pup...I'd adopt him. You don't see black that often.

If everyone adopted a cat or dog there would be empty shelters and no animal homelessness

But not everyone SHOULD adopt a cat or dog unfortunately. I see people get a large dog and lock it in a condo for 10 hours a day while they are at work and then wonder why it is so crazy and destructive, then it ends up back at the shelter as a "problem" pet anyway. There are also people that get something that is "cute" without thinking how they can afford vet bills on something that will have dental problems because of a smashed in face like a pug or something. The important things to me when it comes to animals are NOT to buy from pet stores, get your pet spayed/neutered, and for god's sake make sure you are ready for the responsibility.

I have 3 dogs and 2 cats, all rescues, and they are the reason I get any exercise at all sometimes. They are great companions but people need to treat them better than they treat their children like I do!

For those people with limited space, a small feline is perfect. I didnt imply if you have a 1 bedroom apt in a building to get a bull mastiff lol

It's not even that. I have a friend with a condo that has a big ol' dumb yellow lab but he works from home and takes that dog everywhere with him. I just want people to be mindful that just like us, dogs get bored as hell and are pack animals. If you can make sure you get them out and socialized, go ahead and have a bull mastiff in a tiny house!

Main point is some people shouldn't have dogs if they don't know how to take care of them. My dogs are home most of the day too but I get them out before and after work and they expect it now!
