Play well? You act like he’s been the victim of a witch hunt, which is not the case. He has been given a lot of opportunities and has yet to show he can move the chains and make good decisions.

Any number of things really,

1) Show that he is disciplined and actually learning the playbook.
2) Improvement in his reads and progressions.
3) Composure in the pocket
4) Not folding mentally when things go bad (ie maturity)

When a team spends a first round pick on you there is a level of expectations that come with it. Lynch has had 2 years now to grasp what the pro level is all about and needs to show that he is actually getting better and improving. He needs to show that he can be the future for Denver or at the very least a starter for some other team if Keenum ends up working out. The problem for Paxton is he has yet to separate himself from guys like Siemian or Kelly. If he cant do that in year 3 than its safe to say he was a reach on our part and probably will end up as a journeyman QB or not even in the league anymore.

This is why pre season game's are necessary, a lot of new faces in starting positions, lot's of rust to be knocked off as well. Yiadom swipes down with his other hand and that's an incomplete pass but it's alright I have major faith in yiadom becoming an impact player.

On another note it looks like Musgrave has seen enough of booker already, Freeman is already in the game.

Also some miscommunication with Case and the offense.

New system, new quarterback, this is expected.

It shouldn't be. Trevor started off both of the last 2 seasons well and quickly faded - once due to injury and once due to hearing footsteps. Him looking good here not really a surprise. He'll be a decent backup for Cousins only being called on a game here or there.

I'll be curious if we might be interested again in Sloter once he's cut...I seriously doubt MN will carry 3 QBs.

You know the argumentation, though. It's simple - If one guy can't physically do it, and the other can probably can't, but physically is capable of it, one of them is worth some investment.

We've seen him be 'decent' and even 'good' in the preseason only to go out there and be one of the worst QB's in the league in back-to-back years. It was simply an instance where both were (unfortunately) unlikely to succeed.
