ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — As the release of the 2018 NFL schedule approaches, the Broncos announced joint practices with the Chicago Bears ahead of their Week 2 preseason game.
The Broncos and Bears will practice at UCHealth Training Center on Wednesday, Aug. 15 and Thursday, Aug. 16 before they head to Sports Authority Field at Mile High for the game on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 7:05 p.m. MDT.
Chicago quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, wide receiver Kevin White and running back Jordan Howard will be among the the Bears to watch when they arrive in Denver.
Former Broncos Danny Trevathan and Bennie Fowler III also play for Chicago.
Denver last saw Chicago when the teams met last year in Week 1 of the preseason. The Broncos earned a 24-17 win.
This year’s joint preseason practices will mark the fifth consecutive year in which the Broncos have practiced against one of their preseason opponents.
Denver held preseason practices with the 49ers prior to preseason matchups in each of the previous three seasons. In 2015 and 2016, the 49ers came to Denver, while the Broncos headed to Santa Clara in 2017.
The Broncos play the 49ers in the 2018 regular season for the first time since 2014, when Denver hosted the Houston Texans for joint practices.
