LOVE this kid. Would take him earlier if needed. Definitely who I want if we deal Lynch as QB3. His Pros are very solid for someone who only really played 1 year HS football. His Cons are minimal. He will take some sacks. That's why we get Nelson first.

Unless they are 100% convinced that a QB that falls to them will be a stud, Nelson makes the most sense. LG, RT and QB were the three biggest needs on the team, and Keenum gives them some relief at QB.

It takes a great QB to play good behind a bad line, but a good QB can play good, and at times great, behind a very good line.

I kind of like this. I'd love it if they drafted Nelson. Barkley, Chubb, or Nelson are who I want at 5.

Donte Jackson is someone they seem to be realistically considering. The guy is a little raw but has amazing speed and athleticism. I'd prefer Isaiah Oliver but I think he'll probably be gone by 40.

BTW, this guy on NFL network always has us taking Denzel award at five. This would make me feel like throwing up. I'm not even sure Ward is better than Oliver and it seems like Oliver is projected to go late first or early second.

The Bucs, Bears, and Colts seem to be interested in Nelson. Rather than reach for Ward at 5, why not trade with the Bears or the Bucs so they can be first in line to get Nelson?
