James Neal scored two late goals for Vegas for the comeback over the Stars. I love it. Miss you, Real Deal James Neal.

Jackets beat the Islanders 5-0. Great way to start the season with a shutout by Bob.

The Blackhawks dominated the Pens. Miss you, Saadfather.

Tonight I will be watching the Pens/Preds game as both teams look for their first win.

Tuesday Night I'll be going to Nashville for the home opener against the Flyers.

This team is deep. Much improved over last season. We picked up Turris and Bonino, which were huge upgrades. I'm glad we do have depth, because injuries always happened. We lost some good players during the playoffs last year. I don't think they will overlook the Avs because I think they realize how good that team is. I think PK called MacKinnon the MVP this year. We already know how good Girard is and how Wilson turns it up a notch in the playoffs. I'll be there Wednesday to cheer them on.

Couturier gets hat trick for Flyers in Game 6 vs. Penguins with torn MCL

https://www.nhl.com/news/flyers-couturier-provorov-play-with-injuries-in-game-6-vs-penguins/c-298199990?tid=297170864

PHILADELPHIA -- Ivan Provorov summed up the sacrifice sometimes needed in the Stanley Cup Playoffs in one sentence.

"As long as my arm was attached to me, then I was playing," the Philadelphia Flyers defenseman said after a season-ending 8-5 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference First Round at Wells Fargo Center on Sunday.

Provorov played 20:31 despite injuring his left shoulder crashing into the boards in the third period of Game 5 on Friday.

Teammate Sean Couturier revealed Sunday that he played Games 5 and 6 with a torn MCL in his right knee. All the forward did was score the winning goal in Game 5 and have a hat trick and two assists in Game 6.

"I just tried to lay it all out there, give it all I had," said Couturier, who missed Game 4 after colliding with defenseman Radko Gudas in practice Tuesday. "It's too bad we didn't come with the results we wanted."

Damn dude, just asking a question. No need to get so defensive.

Kinda seems like a little bit of revisionist history to call them some sort of unfairly stacked team though. They had the worst odds in the league to win the cup before the season started. Clearly they have far outpreformed anyone's wildest predictions.

They had different rules. Teams had to give up better players. Without the rule change they don't have better players. Then they don't play as well. Unless worse players play better. Idk. There's a reason expansion teams struggle. The NHL didn't want that to happen in Vegas because they wanted them to be able to build a fan base. I think they overdid it, but that's just my opinion.

Pekka will be 36 this year so I’m glad he finally got his Vezina. Now he needs a Stanley Cup before he retires.

Hes all correct.
They were able to fill their team with starters and top 6 forwards and top 4 d men. Most teams do not have all of that and they did it all so that Vegas would win and get a big fan base. It is imperative that Vegas do really well (which I am a proponent of). I cant wait for a quick weekend to vegas to watch the avs or broncos. That is going to be so much fun.
