My guess is they hit the film room on Monday, discuss it and then start preparing for the Chargers. Can't imagine Siemian playing bad enough that they would actually consider going back to Lynch, just because Lynch looks like he's got a real long way to go to be a viable starter.

My guess is Siemian will start the regular season but if he starts to suck for 3-4 games than i can see VJ making a move to Lynch much like we saw in 2010 with Orton/Tebow.

Not a chance. Even if he has a bad game, they aren't going to be worried about his confidence. They know he performed very well last year for a first year starter in horrible conditions, and one a second straight camp battle. I have to imagine confidence is the last thing they are worried about.

I think at this point the decision has been made and you have to stick with it. One bad game wouldn't and shouldn't override what they have seen over the entirety of camp and the first two preseason games.

Now if we get a few weeks into the season, Siemian is awful and we're losing games, then at that point maybe revisit the competition. But for now, I don't think one preseason game should change anything.

Agreed. Much harder to make that switch when the team is winning. If we start 1-3 or 0-4 and Siemian is bad, then you might as well start thinking about throwing Lynch out there and seeing if he can cut it or not.

Definitely. Both to try and turn things around, but also if you start off that bad, the change of making the playoffs is probably approaching or in single digits, so if your starter is sucking, then you might as well see how the first round pick does and get him game experience.

Torts isn't that hard, just ask around until you get a copy of your professor's version of the law/rules/elements then memorize the crap out of them. The tests are just issue spotting races and if you can just vomit back the rule without thinking you will do fine. Key is to make sure you get the right rules - each prof seems to have their own peculiar set.

Make friends with a 2L or 3L that had the same torts prof and start there. Never trust the 1Ls.

Agreed, and Siemian was what something like 18-10 in his first year starting, so hopefully he continues to be very good at protecting the ball.

I'm sure you noticed on that interception that he threw the ball before DT made his break and that was forced by the fact that, wait for it, there was interior pressure. While he released before he was hit, he had to throw early due to the pressure up the middle and take a short step/follow through because of the defender coming up the middle.

The lines is looking the worst it's looked this preseason, which I imagine is because they are seeing the best defense.

Interesting, with all the injuries, Joseph said they are going to be smart and their starters are done for the night. The speculation had been that Siemian and starting offense would play part of the 2nd quarter, but looks like due to the injuries stacking up, they are punting and going to backups.

Last two drives were much better, the first three were pretty ugly.

This offense still has a ways to go. I like the play calling, but Siemian had some bad throws and the offensive line was horrible in pass protection. Sanders with the big drop and his slide (don't blame him in preseason).

I hear you, but pretty frightening to go into the season with a UDFA that's had very limited 1st/2nd team reps. If Lynch is hurt, I'll be surprised if they don't pickup a veteran guy.
