I remember it well. The day that Bob Howsam purchased the franchise for $25,000.

And to think, if Lamar Hunt would have been able to get a majority stake in the Cardinals in early 1959 (and move them to Dallas), the Broncos wouldn't have been formed.

Also, there probably wouldn't have been expansion for years, and I don't see another football league starting until the mid-60's, when Dennis Murphy and Gary Davidson start the WFL seven to eight years earlier.
