Time to place a call to the Jets? Richardson?

Ahh, I remember getting pushback every time I had an OLB too high in mock drafts. Kasim Edembali, sweet.

Howard Jones, Marcus Smith, Freeney.

Word on Twitter is that we're not likely to sign a veteran, given the timeframe for Ray and Barrett to return. Personally, I'd sign Freeney and figure it out when everyone is healthy

He'd be a DE in our system, opposite Wolfe. We need depth at OLB right now

I would of figured Freeney would have been retired by now.

But they need more pass rush from DE as well. I think the Broncos are being short-sighted, they can trade for Richardson and recoup something in a compensation pick in '19.

He'd kill it in this system, send them a pick and some DE depth.

yea, i'd feel better if they brought in another veteran body. . . i also wish we'd kept dekoda watson. . . i guess we'll see if edebali can play. . . at least they're not long-term problems, but it sucks to have guys getting banged up early-- especially when it's multiple guys at the same position, and it's one that's critical to our defense. . .

with four of our first five games at home, and five out of our last seven on the road, we really can't afford a slow start if we're going to have a productive season. . . it's enough of a challenge installing new schemes everywhere-- fingers crossed that we can dodge the injury bug from here on out. . .

Indeed! They should have kept Dekoda Watson! DeMarcus Ware... are you available for 1 more year?

Oh, I agree the DE position will need to pick up the pass rushing slack. I just mean as part of the OLB rotation, Richardson wouldn't be a help in that respect

Expensive insurance policy, but turns out it would have been worth it.

At least in the meantime others can step in and get some extra exposure/reps. These injuries are obviously never a good thing, but could be a potential blessing in disguise if they're healthy enough early in the season.

Ziggy, that was excellent. There is a media bias towards Lynch, imo.

I don't know about that, but I hope to hell that they put the best player out there, whoever it is.

I'm not too concerned about this. Its still July and its a wrist. He'll be back early. The have enough depth now that they can do a little shuffling until he returns. He'll be ready for the opener but not 100%, bet on it.
