Cody Latimer gets pepper sprayed outside of a strip club

Broncos receiver Cody Latimer was pepper sprayed by a bouncer during a fight outside an Ohio strip club ... and TMZ Sports has the insane footage.

We're told 24-year-old Latimer was trying to get into Diamonds Cabaret strip club near Dayton at the end of February with his uncle and a friend ... but got into a disagreement with the bouncer about the dress code.

We're told the group asked to speak to the manager and then moved outside. That's where the video starts.

In the footage, you see Latimer with his arms out between his group and the bouncer. Things escalate when Latimer slaps the bouncer, who then sprays C.L. with pepper spray. Latimer's uncle then lunges at the bouncer and is knocked out.

We're told Latimer's group left immediately after the fight and cops were never called to the scene. Law enforcement sources tell us there's no pending criminal investigation.

We spoke to Latimer who tells us he was involved in the scuffle, but was simply trying to deescalate the situation. He says he's moved on and is focused on preparing for training camp.

They are a giant money pit and the girls usually aren't even all that attractive. I dunno, I've been to like 3 or 4 and it's never been something I've walked out of thinking "damn, I'm so glad I just spent money on this!".

My initial reaction as well. I had to chuckle to myself the other day when I saw someone suggest Latimer will probably make the roster near the bottom of the depth chart "because of the draft pick." That made sense his first season or two, but you can't keep trading on draft position in the final year of a contract: He's had three seasons to justify that pick and hasn't yet, so I doubt a fourth try will be the charm. Frankly, I still wish we'd used that "former 2nd round pick" to trade him last year for whatever we could get, because that's evidently the closest we were ever going to come to a decent return on our investment.

The bottom line is we have better receivers playing for less. Which would you cut out of Cody Latimer (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LatiCo00.htm), Bennie Fowler (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/FowlBe00.htm) or Jordan Taylor (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TaylJo01.htm)? Stats are never the whole story, but these corroborate what my eyes have consistently shown: Fowler, Taylor and just about everyone else regularly outperform Latimer: They have more TDs, fewer drops and their catches average more yards. Sure, Latimer's great on STs, but is that really worth a 2nd round pick paying him more than Fowler and Taylor COMBINED?
