Well, there is something to be said about taking someone when you know they are going to be available. I think my thinking would be if he was so good with RB's he would haven't let TD almost get cut before that hit on ST that kept his job.

I would be cool if Mike Shannahan*was brought in as an assistant to Kyle, but I would want the focus to be as an assistant in a role working directly with the QB.

Maybe assistant HC/Quarterbacks or assistant HC/OC, but his primary duty is getting the QB on the same page as Kyle in the offense.
