List as many as you want. I'm going to keep an eye out for one's I've missed! I'm just going to do a Top 10:

10. Star Trek Beyond
9. Arrival
8. Green Room
7. The Nice Guys
6. Supersonic (Oasis Documentary)
5. Captain America: Civil War
4. Deadpool
3. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Extended Cut)
2. Rogue One
1. Manchester by the Sea (just came out. HIGHLY recommended)

Honorable Mentions: Zoolander 2, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, Everybody Wants Some, Zootopia, Swiss Army Man, Amalisia, 10 Cloverfield Lane

EDIT: looking at this list my movie tastes are all over the place. I think exactly 3 people saw Zoolander 2.

Every time I see one of these lists, I realize how many movies I haven't seen.

Rogue One, Deadpool and Star Trek Beyond were the best movies I saw this year.

Silence is my movie of the year. I just haven't seen it yet.

Hell or High Water was a nice surprise - we watched that the other week while my dad was in town. Bridges was predictably good. I liked the beginning of this review on imdb, which seems to encapsulate my thoughts well:

In a summer (or should that be year or decade) of vapid sequels, remakes, and overblown superhero catastrophes, who would have expected an entertaining, intelligent, well-crafted, suspenseful, character- driven, modern-day western with a brain.

Aside from that - I'm not even sure I saw 10 movies this year. Definitely not 10 new releases.

I'm stoked to see that the new Matt Damon movie outranked even Star Wars on your list - that means I'm sure to love it as a shameless Damon fanboi.

I only seen two of them and I couldn't make it past the 20 minute mark on one.

everyone loved Green Room? I guess I will try to watch it a 3rd time, did it start getting better or something because the first 30 minutes are horrible.

Some of it is predictable but i thought it was good, especially the ending.

No, you listen to me, I am the elitist here. You are a wannabe elitist in training. Matt Damon is our elitist actor of choice. Now go watch his Inside the Actors studio and get learned.
