Whatever. Herculean effort by the D yet again gets a big win against a division rival - I just think it's utterly hollow.

This is a terrible offense. Not average. Absolutely, inexcusably, awful.

If there was a picture of an NFL pretender this is it.

This offense needs to get their heads out of their ass. Plain and simple, this defense will hold it down for the most part. the offense cannot leave points on the field with turnovers. This game should have gone much like the Tampa Game. This offense almost cost us. Thy have to step it up.

True. We should have a goal of about 21 points per game. If we can just do that, we should win most games.

It hurt when it happened but I kind of understand it. He was reaching for the goal line and the guy just happened to knock it back into the field of play. Sucks, but not a usual play. He should have just gone out of bounds, but he was probably thinking that we wouldn't have scored on third down from the one so he tried to make something happen.

Until they hit a hard hitting team and got completely shut down, and couldn't do the same on defense. It was the result of that game that led Elway to decide the team needed to be remade. Greater focus on defense and toughness.

You do have a point. Both offenses were/are awful and sub par.

It's a very superficial comparison.

Tebow was unable to execute a pro offense and was wildly inaccurate at every distance (Schlereth was right when he said he can't throw against air, which I saw when I was on the field for warmups against KC and he badly missed more than half of his warm up throws). As a result, the Broncos had to revert to an offense largely based on plays and gameplans like Tebow ran in college.

The '16 offense is struggling, mostly on the line, which can't run block or pass block, but shows brief moments of what it could be. Siemian has extremely good mechanics, a blazingly fast release (which is why the Broncos aren't leading the league in sacks given up) and by and large for a first year starter, is staying away from mistakes. Before CJ's injury, the Broncos had two very good running backs, to go with two very good wide receivers.

It's actually fairly silly to make the comparison to Tebow's offense.

Now, what we are seeing is a hallmark of Kubiak's offenses, which is if his team can't run the ball, then they struggle. His gameplans are so predicated on running the ball to setup play action, that if his team fails to run the ball, then he his little in his playbook to adjust and succeed just passing the ball. Now, that might be due to the fact that he quite often has undersized offensive linemen that get pushed around then they go into straight drop back passing mode.

What's funny is, the offense is clearly better than it was last year. The defense just isn't as dominant, especially against the run. We're not as good up the middle.

What was it? Something like four or five of the first 8 games last year were won on last minute turnovers/scores by the defense?

Did people really think that having Manning and Osweiler leave would turn the 31st worst passing game in the league become a top five offense overnight?

The Broncos rushing game is 20th in the league and passing game 20th. Siemian is sitting just in front of Rodgers, Eli, Palmer, Newton and other VERY highly paid non-first year starters, among qualified passers.

It might be time to go back to the DVR or game pass and see how much Lynch suffered in his start behind this line.

Yes, the offense is struggling. But, the awful, horrible and such talk is simply out of touch. Frustrating I get, but it's basically an average offense right now, operating behind a very, very bad offensive line.

However, it's also an offense clearly running a conservative gameplan, focused on not making mistakes and handing the other team easy scores on short fields.

It's funny, four weeks ago, the criticism was that the Broncos should be throwing deep, even if receivers were double or triple covered, because you have to throw it up and let receivers make plays. Now, it's criticism when the ball was thrown up into double coverage, and resulted in big completions. So, I think the key here is that we are just disgruntled fans that want to complain.

Glad I talked this out. They say if you talk about something you will feel better.
