The season has officially started for me. I'm sitting at home, watching Chicago versus Nashville. That place sounded loud when PK Subban scored to put the Preds on the board. It's tied 2-2 right now. About a minute until first intermission. It's a good game so far.

There was a fight early in the game. Then a Toews and Neal fight. Now PK just punched Kane in the face. Good game so far. And they play each other again tomorrow night. :lol:

I'm not sure the preds get the division. I hate the wild and blues but they look better to me. Avs are a wildcard as they could be awesome or shitty. Right now we are like Dallas. Can score lots of points but still iffy on gaa.

I'm interested to see how everyone looks a month or two from now. I think the Preds are better than they've been playing. It was funny seeing the experts talk about the Blue Jackets about a week ago. They're 0-2 and have a rough schedule. Will they ever win a game? Will Torts be fired? Then they beat Chicago and blanket the Stars. Though CBJ still has a long way to go.

It's a game that's not for me but was fun to watch because I watched it with a lot of friends. One of the coolest parts of being a Broncos fan is that I get to talk about it with the board. A sense of belonging. A full experience. This is not it. I was a Bengals fan because it was a bond I had with my dad. That make sense?

Yeah. It can be frustrating. Believe it or not, there aren't many people in Appalachian Kentucky to talk hockey with. I mostly talk to myself in here. I follow the subreddits for the Blue Jackets and Predators. That helps. I mdon't vet thought I'd be able to understand the sport or to watch complete games. I would love to live near a place like Nashville someday. I'd consider Columbus if not for the damn Buckeyes.

Ohio is a shitty state filled with shitty people. I hope all of their teams lose forever and that those people feel no love. They deserve nothing. Columbus is, objectively, a nice place, but it's an average diamond in a sea of shit and piss. I hope you never live there. FTR the only Ohio person exempt from this is my Aunt. She's cool.

The referee standing behind the net, Ghislain Hebert, emphatically signaled that Grant had scored. But the officials huddled and ultimately disallowed the goal, with Hebert explaining that "it was determined that the intent to blow the whistle happened prior to the puck going into the net."




A lengthy review ensued despite such a play not being reviewable by NHL rules, making the situation even more peculiar. The explanation of the overturned call — or lack thereof — didn't set well with Predators coach Peter Laviolette.

That's all I needed to see, I switched the channel. The NHL Penguins bias is alive and well, this series won't go much further than 5 games

I just want to make it to Chicago for a game, I would probably try to make it a perfect time and get in an NFL and NCAA football game as well.

BTW... At the start of the season (and last) I picked Nashville to win the Stanley Cup. With their lackluster season I didn't think they were going to do anything in the playoffs and in my brackets I chose Pitt to win the cup over Anaheim.

Nashville has been a 3rd period team for a while. Turning the game off early would be like turning off a Broncos game early those few years we were a 4th quarter team. I missed the 1st period but the rest of the game seemed pretty interesting. I just hate hearing about how amazing Crosby is every 2 seconds. As for the style of play, Weazel, I've heard many say that the Preds play an older style of hockey. That you would enjoy it if you enjoyed the 70s and 80s. I can't vouch for that, but that's what I've been hearing and reading throughout the playoffs. I'm really hoping we can take game 2 and come home 1-1. It's going to be lit. One thing for sure about game 1, even though it was a loss I think it's obvious that Nashville belongs in this series. It's not a case of the East being better than the West.

Also, some of you losers need to make it down to Nashville for a game. I have 2 full season seats next year. Except for King. I can't have you wearing Hawks stuff and cheering them on. They would revoke my STH status.
