Loved dog soldiers, but hated the shoddy portrayal of basic military skills!!

Dog Soldiers is a really fun werewolf flick.
American Werewolf in London is my fave but Dog Soldiers was a nice surprise.

Also, if you're going to watch a Friday the 13th flick, Part 4 is the best one.

I was really impressed by the evil dead reboot that came out a couple if years ago.
Not much of the silliness that makes the originals with Ash so good but a great horror movie none the less.

I think you should watch Trick or Treat from 1986.

Silent Scream was one of the scariest movies I ever watched. It was from the late 70's, and I'm not even sure it's out on DVD or anywhere now.

Probably super cheesy by today's standards, but it scared the shit out of me back then. Hitchcock type horror.

Maybe too late to revise your list, but what about silent Hill? Does that count as a scary movie?

What about the Babadook on netflix.
