The helmet will remain the same, per the NFL's one-helmet rule instituted in 2013. But the current horse head logo will be replaced by the iconic "D" horse logo that remains a popular staple on fan gear to this day.

A bunch of teams do that when they wear their throwbacks. It's a bit tougher for us since the helmet itself is a different color, but will be cool to see regardless.

The Broncos' Color Rush uniform to be worn Oct. 13 at San Diego will feature orange jerseys, pants, socks and shoes, with accent elements that evoke variations of the uniforms the team wore from 1968-96.

The numerals will be in the block font throughout that period. Instead of being trimmed in lighter blue, as they were for three decades, they will feature a navy border just like the numerals on the current jersey.

The blue-white-blue striping on the sleeves is reminiscent of the stripes used from 1968-96, but as with the navy border on the numbers, it is the current shade of blue worn since 1997.

Do not remember the Thursday night games last year where teams both wore solid color uniforms instead of one having a color and one being white? The Jets-Bills game was the famous one because people who were colorblind couldn't tell them apart. Those are the "color rush" games.

Watch any Thursday night game this year and you will see all these very bright colors! They did it last year in some games (in fact, the Jets and Bills wore them last year and apparently colorblind people couldn't tell the difference in the uniforms. They're doing it again this week but evidently they fixed that issue, allegedly).

Yeah, "color rush" is just the marketing term that they use to brand the Thursday night games where teams wear solid color unis. That's really all there is too it. Not sure what else Davii wants from us.

The NFL and Nike have rolled out this year’s Color Rush uniforms for all 32 teams. Last year, only eight teams wore Color Rush uniforms on Thursday Night Football, and sometimes the results were disastrous, particularly for those who suffer from any degree of color blindness. It seems like the NFL and Nike put a bit more thought into the effects on our eyes this year.

While each team has a Color Rush uniform designed by Nike, six teams won’t be wearing them this season. There were a few color scheme conflicts, and in those cases, the away team will just wear the normal away uniform while the home team dons the Color Rush uniform. Those teams include the Texans, Falcons, Browns and Jets.

The uniforms will also not be worn for the Thanksgiving games. Four of the teams playing on Thanksgiving have other Thursday games, but the Colts and Washington will be excluded.

The unis suck far less than I expected, even though it's hard to be sure with all the glossy embellishment in the illustration. My main takeaway from Foxs overview of the whole LEAGUES rush uniforms is "gosh, when reduced to monochrome it looks like the NFL only has, like, half a dozen colors shared by 32 teams."

The Lions actually look more like the Panthers than the ACTUAL Panthers color rush uniforms. The first two alphabetically (i.e. Arizona and Atlanta) look like photonegatives of each other, and what's the difference between Atlanta, Buffalo and KCs uniforms? Answers: The first has different colored NUMBERS, and Atlanta has a stripe down the leg, Buffalo has two across the shoulders and KC stripes on BOTH. Just to round things out: Tampa has the same problem, and shares a Atlantas DIVISION, making Thursday night meetings more likely. Because the NFC Souths pair of dismal doormats weren't already indistinguishable enough. ;)

Same deal with the Browns and Bears, except BOTH have a pair of horizontal orange stripes on the sleeves; the numbers are practically the only way to see a difference. Miamis color rush uniforms look more like Denvers than our ACTUAL color rush unis, a problem Baltimores share with Minnesotas.

It's just hideous and confusing. We can say it's all for a good cause because the NFL's donating a tithe of the profits to LA flood victims but 1) I'm pretty sure the thousands of people who lost their homes have higher priorities than rather the HS football team has a new pair of cleats and 2) color rush started LAST season, so unless the NFL knew something no one else did (in which case they're awful ******** for not bothering to warn LA residents a year in advance) that's not the motive, just the current excuse.

Broncos will wear Color Rush uniforms against Colts in Week 15.

We hope you like the Broncos’ all-orange Color Rush jerseys because they’re coming back for the 2017 NFL season.

While we don’t yet know when Denver will wear its blue uniforms, we do know the Broncos will wear all-orange uniforms when they face the Colts on “Thursday Night Football” on the road in Week 15.

That game will be played on Dec. 14 and it will mark the debut of Indianapolis’ Color Rush uniforms, according to Fox59. The Colts revealed their Color Rush uniforms last season but did not wear them in a Thursday night contest against the Steelers because the game was not an official “Thursday Night Football” showdown. The NFL’s weird like that.

Denver wore its Color Rush uniforms for the first time against the Chargers on Oct. 13 last season. The Broncos lost that game 21-13, but the Color Rush uniforms received rave reviews.

Hopefully Denver fares better against Indy while wearing all orange.

Because of the color-blindness issue that arose from that one Jets-Bills game where they wore all red and all green, they have pretty much stopped having both teams wear the full color. Pretty much every color rush game last year had one team wearing all white. So I doubt they will wear all blue. Could be wrong though.

Meh, we just looked like an orange julius. Didn't care for them. Unis are not intimidating or exciting at all.

I want to see the 80s throwback and then all blues for night primetime games.

I really like the jersey but not the uniform with the pants. White pants would be much better, but the jersey is cool as hell. It is a good mix of the old and the new, probably my favorite jersey in my closet right now.
