I just dont see Germany having that kind of firepower. They are a more methodical squad and opportunist. While France's defense is not state of the art its good enough and fast enough to keep us at bay. It would take a miracle for them to get 2 scores here in the final 12 minutes or so.

They spent the next half hour talking about how Portugal's style of play wasn't "real football." It just came across as butt hurt. At one point I turned away and came back 10 minutes later, still the same tripe. A French guy, an English guy and a German, all sounded just pissed their team didn't win.

Thats to bad, I have no problem with Portugal winning especially when they were not the favorite to do so.

They didn't like that they sat back and basically won smash and grab today and played not to lose earlier in the tournament. Thought it was a lame analysis, considering they lost their superstar to injury early in this one and had to win four matches, including a wide open 2-0 win over Wales to get to this point.

Well, if you really think about it, the Broncos were kind of the same way this past year but found a way. I guess you could say Portugal did the same and found a way no matter how ugly it might have looked.
