DENVER — The Denver Broncos, the National Football League and Make-A-Wish Colorado have collaborated to grant 16 year-old Daniel Hailpern's wish of announcing the team’s first pick alongside Commissioner Roger Goodell at the 2016 NFL Draft (April 28-30) in Chicago.

In 2014, Daniel, a Leukemia survivor, spent nine months at Children’s Hospital Colorado, the official children’s hospital of the Denver Broncos, receiving care before and after a bone marrow transplant. During his stay, Daniel created an hour-long sports radio talk show, Daniel’s P[R]eview Show, that broadcasted to all resident patients from the hospital’s multimedia Seacrest Studios. His show rapidly gained popularity and still broadcasts today. Over the past couple of years, Daniel has hosted various Broncos players and other local sports celebrities on his show.

"Make-A-Wish Colorado is beyond excited for Daniel’s opportunity at the 2016 NFL Draft,” Make-A-Wish Colorado’s President & CEO Joan Mazak said. “We are so fortunate to have the support of the Denver Broncos and to partner with such a great organization to help fulfill the wishes of our football-loving kids."

For the 2015-16 football season, patients, staff and visitors at Children's Colorado cheered on their home team in this parody of the song "Let it Go." The song, "Broncos Go!" was the winning entry in a parody song contest by Daniel Hailpern, a patient at Children's Colorado's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
