Johnny Manziel's second agent this offseason, Drew Rosenhaus, has informed the former Cleveland Browns quarterback that either he gets treatment or Rosenhaus no longer will represent him, the agent told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

"I have terminated the standard representation with Johnny Manziel in the hopes of helping him get the treatment I believe he needs," Rosenhaus said. "I have informed him that if he takes the immediate steps I have outlined for him that I will rescind the termination and continue to represent him. Otherwise the termination will become permanent. There is a five-day window for me to rescind the termination. I'm hoping he takes the necessary steps to get his life back on track."

League sources told ESPN's Ed Werder that from the beginning, the agreement in which Rosenhaus would represent Manziel ‎was contingent upon Manziel entering a treatment facility, which he has persistently refused to do.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Where Johnny goes trouble follows, and apparently Josh Gordon does too.

Gordon came to Manziel's rescue Saturday night, picking him up after he was a passenger in an alleged hit-and-run, according to TMZ Sports.

The incident occured just hours after the site captured Manziel on video as he was heading into The Nice Guy nightclub for what he said was the fifth or sixth night in a row.

Slurring his words, Manziel claimed he was living with Broncos superstar Von Miller -- which he later retracted and apologized for -- and that he wasn't drunk. Neither Manziel nor Gordon, who's petition for reinstatement from his drug ban was denied Tuesday by the NFL, are accused of any wrongdoing. But the night ended badly, like so many of Manziel's nights do these days.

If they don't get him in some kind of program, this kid is going to end up in jail or dead at the rate he's going.

Assume Manziel was ignoring all of Rosenhaus' advice and certainly seems to want to do whatever it takes to make himself unemployable.

Not much incentive for Rosenhaus to spend his time.

The New York Post reports that Manziel threw a wild party with friends at a rented LA home, causing $32,000 in damage.

Emily Smith, of Page Six, reports the former Browns quarterback rented a $4.5 million house in West Hollywood for two days last week throwing two "all-night ragers" that prompted neighbors, including Kathy Griffin, to call police.

Manziel and his friends allegedly broke a table and bathroom door. They also left wine stains on the carpet and cocaine on a countertop, according to the real estate broker's attorney.

Never ends with this kid.

Most people would be in prison for the shit he's doing. That NFL money is going to run out, soon.

His parents are also loaded so he's probably not at risk of running out of money soon. Probably much closer to prison or death than he is bankruptcy.

I didn't know he had rich parents, but that explains a lot.

You know your career is on life support if Rosendoosh isn't trying to deny that your career is on life support.

I think it's just time to let Manziel be what he wants to be, which is a 20-something Millionaire frat boy and reality TV star. Johnny Kardashian. He doesn't care all that much about football and it's not like he's pisssing away a great career and a chance to save his family from poverty. He's pissing away a Meh career and his family is loaded.

Save this opportunity for someone who actually gives a shit.

Johnny Manziel said he still is focused on preparing to be in the NFL this year, even after another tumultuous day for the troubled former Cleveland Browns quarterback.

"I’m hoping to take care of the issues in front of me right now so I can focus on what I have to do if I want to play in 2016,” Manziel said in a statement provided to USA TODAY Sports. “I also continue to be thankful to those who really know me and support me."

Agent Drew Rosenhaus dropped Manziel as a client on Tuesday, according to an ESPN report. Rosenhaus said last week that he would drop Manziel if the former Heisman Trophy winner and Texas A&M standout didn’t take “immediate steps,” which included getting treatment, to right himself.

Also Tuesday, the Dallas County District Attorney announced it would present his assault case to a grand jury on Thursday. Manziel faces up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine if the grand jury chooses to indict him on the misdemeanor assault charge, which stems from allegations made by his ex-girlfriend.

“So many people only have one image of Jonathan but, believe it or not, he takes all this very seriously,” said Denise Michaels, Manziel’s spokesperson. “He’s hoping that he can clear up his personal issues, start interviewing agents and see what he needs to do if he wants to play this year.”

Johnny Manziel won’t play in the NFL this season, but Jonathan Manziel might.

Hours after the unemployed quarterback was dropped by his agent and Nike formally announced the termination of their marketing deal, a rep for Manziel released a statement on his behalf reiterating how passionate the hard-partying 23-year-old is about football.

“So many people only have one image of Jonathan, but believe it or not, he takes all this very seriously,” Manziel’s spokesperson Denise Michels told ESPN. “He’s hoping that he can clear up his personal issues, start interviewing agents and see what he needs to do if he wants to play this year.”

Embattled quarterback Johnny Manziel has been indicted by a Dallas County grand jury on a misdemeanor assault charge, Dallas' ABC News 8 and CBS Dallas/Fort Worth reported, citing sources.

The formal announcement is expected to come Monday. Manziel's case was heard by a grand jury on Thursday.

Manziel, a former Cleveland Browns quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner at Texas A&M, is accused of hitting his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, so hard that she temporarily lost hearing in one ear.
