Less than 24 hours after prosecutors said there was insufficient evidence to charge Eagles running back LeSean McCoy in a bar fight, video has surfaced that reportedly shows another NFL player in another bar fight.

This time it’s Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe, who according to TMZ is the man seen throwing a punch in video taken of a Denver nightclub brawl.

In the video, it’s unclear whether Wolfe’s punch landed. It’s also unclear how the fight started. TMZ reports that Wolfe was hit with a glass bottle and left the club bloodied.

Police were not called and no one was arrested.

The 26-year-old Wolfe is heading into his fifth year with the Broncos. He signed a four-year, $36.75 million contract extension in January.

And isn't as good of a player and still makes roughly $5M/yr more than Wolfe. I'll take Wolfe all day even with his rough and tumble ways.

Lol another TMZ video featuring Future's March Madness.

Honestly looks a bit worse than I was led to believe. Hard to say what he hit on the other end but he threw a punch.

A 1-game suspension would not shock me. Gotta love da club.

Looks like he first pushed a guy, then advanced and stood there in a challenging pose like he's daring the guy to fight, then he throws a right hook. Then he tries to leave and gets hit by a bottle.

This is what happens if you hang out in clubs with a bunch of drunks. There's ALWAYS a guy who's drunk and wants to fight. If you're a famous player, just off the SB and a big guy some idiot will want to get into some trash with you.

Just stay the hell out of clubs like that. You can't say "I was just quietly having a drink and some guy got in my face" like it's a surprise that happened. That kind of stuff is virtually guaranteed to happen. And if 10 years ago, nobody would have thought twice about some bar scuffle, now everybody has a cell phone video, and it's on TMZ.

Players have to be smarter than that, and anticipate that any time you're in a scene like that, there's a good chance some MORON who lost money on the SB or is a Panthers fan or something or just belligerent because a player makes more money than them, or the player talked to their girlfriend or some girl he was talking to walked over to the player, etc., etc., etc.

Guys that big and strong as Derek Wolfe normally don't worry about getting in a bar fight because they'd clock the guy in 5 seconds. But, nowadays doing that can get you arrested and suspended by the NFL. Meanwhile nothing happens to the drunk moron. He just gets hit. Maybe files a lawsuit.

Cugel
04-05-2016, 10:52 AM
I mean, normally, unless you're a drunk moron, you don't get into a fight with Derek Wolfe right? The guy's 6'5", 285 with about 4% body fat and you're some imbecile who thinks he's tough? But, after 6 or 8 drinks he thinks he's Muhammad Ali.

But nothing will happen to the drunk moron, other than taking 1 punch, while Wolfe is subject to potential NFL discipline and possible police action. Hopefully nothing happens, but you can't be sure of that.

This would be a non-event, except it's now on TMZ, and then the moron who started the fight can try and file a police report or sue because he thinks there's money in it.

Ronda Rousey once beat up some guy who refused to let her and her friends leave a theatre. Then the guy found out Rousey was an MMA fighter and tried to file a police report. He starts a fight with a girl, then gets beaten up, then tries to file a police report. That's the kind of crap happens all the time today.

No cops, no charges, we good. Not the best situation to be in, but hopefully he learns. Appherently Wolfe is a bit of a loose canon/badass. T.J. Ward was on highly questionable after the super bowl and was asked which person on the team are people afraid of, his answer was Talib and Wolfe. Said that Wolfe will say some crazy shit on game day, and that he heard him go full Tyson on Brady after a sack "I will ******* eat your children!"

Denver Police says the Wolfe incident wasn't reported. They won't have a case on Wolfe unless someone comes to talk and/or present evidence.

NFL on Wolfe: "We take a look at any such incident, but it doesn’t appear on its face to be something that would lead to league discipline."

I've been in a bar fight, bout as far from thug as it gets. Usually you're one of two things in a bar fight; the mouthy one or the one that shuts him up, doesn't make either a thug.

Honest question, would you rather watch a team full of Tebow's or a SB contender? You can't have both, not in a million years.

Dapper Dan
06-19-2016, 03:56 AM
If these guys played for Oakland we would be using this against them. No, I don't need a team full of Tebows, but we have about 50 guys that manage to stay out of trouble. Just because someone doesn't get in a bar far, doesn't get arrested, or doesn't hoot themselves in a club doesn't mean they're a Tebow. That Peyton Manning dude was pretty good. But I understand. Sometimes you just need to get drunk and fire off your gun in public. Sometimes you just need to get into a fistfight in public. I guess they all can't be saints. What's the worst that could happen?

Not me, when y'all crusade against Donkykong Suh I'm the one advocating signing him. And I couldn't care less what other fans think of the Broncos; didn't care when "the whole WORLD" watched Denver get plowed by Seattle, don't care that Talib shot himself in the ass, don't care that Slowshon got a DUI.

I do remember wanting Denver to cut Antonio Smith last year and not one of you gave a fat rats ass about what he did.

Hey, you can court your sisters underage daughter but you better not get drunk and into a public fight about it.

Witness sends second fight video to Denver7

DENVER - Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe threw a punch during a fight inside of a Denver bar, as shown by videos from witnesses.

The fight reportedly happened Saturday night inside of VIE Nightclub on Larimer Street.

TMZ shared the first video, in which a man that appears to be Wolfe, throws a punch during an argument. Witnesses told TMZ Sports that a guy was trash talking No. 95 before pushing started.

Witnesses also told TMZ that Wolfe was hit with a glass bottle and left the club covered in blood. It's not clear by the angle of the video if Wolfe made contact with anyone.

In a second witness video sent directly to Denver7, a man is seen punching Wolfe. Samuel Plasencio says he noticed multiple men hitting the Broncos player and it appeared as if Wolfe was defending himself.

"I seen like three dudes they're just coming up and hitting him out of nowhere. He got hit in the head with a bottle and then I didn't know if he hit someone but I saw him swing at someone and then after that it was totally broken up. [Wolfe] got rushed out," said Plasencio.

Second video can be seen above

"Derek talked to us on Monday about the issue, and it’s been addressed internally," the Broncos said in a statement. Wolfe's agent did not comment to TMZ, their story says.
