I guess we should have looked under the dress, huh?

This was NOT about money imo.

If spurned chick was the ultimate mindset of the 'future of the franchise' then good riddance and THANK YOU Elway for sticking to your guns.

Guess he felt he was wronged here..........and the Texans on the verge of 'something great'? Boy dont we have a surprise for him.

We have a date upcoming Os, and we're pretty sure Miller and the boyz are planning on revealing your panties.

My oh my, what a surprise.

Why do people assume it was about hurt feelings, when the Texans are paying Brock Osweiler $21,000,000 in 2016?

Twenty-One Million Dollars.

Osweiler gets $21M in '16. A $12M SB, $4M salary, $5M roster bonus. He gets $16 M in 2017. Fully guaranteed. Then $18M and $17M. #9news

That is just crazy money. Note how front loaded that contract is? Usually a 4 year contract is back-weighted so that the last year inflates the contract value, but since it's not guaranteed it's just so much bird-cage lining. The player will never see that money, but will be released or re-negotiated. But, Brock's 4th year is the lowest!

Was he mad at being benched? Sure. Would he have taken the Broncos $16M a year offer when Houston was offering him $18M a year- guaranteed, and $21M the first year? Hell no.

If he LOVED John Elway and Kubiak like his brothers, there's STILL no way he would turn down an extra $8M over the course of his contract.

And you wouldn't either. He could go out there and in the first play break his hip like Bo Jackson, and then his career is over. And the only money he would get would be the guaranteed money. That's life in the NFL. He's got a ring. Now it's all about the guaranteed money.

Broncos did increase offer to Osweiler from 3 yrs 45 mil+ (15+per) to 4 yrs, 64 mil+. (16+per)

That is just not close to what Houston offered. (BTW: Houston cap hit is only $12M in 2016).

It works out for Houston too. If he sucks, they can cut him after 2 years and owe him nothing.

Probably because a lot of what the players and experts have said. :whoknows:
