I thought we could all use a break from the Brock situation.

I'll always root for Danny T. I'm happy for him and his family. He grew up a lot in the time he was here. I'll never forget the smile on his face as he talked about his baby girl. Danny T is a good dude, I wish him nothing but the best.

I knew what you meant. And you're right - we all kind of knew this was happening.

As for Trevathan, he came out of nowhere to be a real good player for us. I can't be too upset that he's leaving, since we pretty much knew it was coming sooner or later. Good luck, Danny, just not against us.

Hope he is paid well. He deserves it.

More disappointed about this one than Jackson. It was nice to see him go from the bottom to the top. Just wish he resigned with us. Glad he got paid though.

If Broncos had to choose between Marshall & Trevathan, they'd choose Marshall. Had Marshall graded higher in '12 draft but JAX got him 1st.

Troy Renck ‏@TroyRenck 5m5 minutes ago

#Broncos really liked Trevathan. But can't pay everyone on defense. And he wasn't always a three-down linebacker.

Cameron Wolfe ‏@CameronWolfe 6m6 minutes ago

The Broncos had one of the best draft classes in 2012. Now, the rest of the league gets to enjoy the spoils of it.

Agreed totally. I loved Trevathan,

Well, he played his ass off for us, every game, and some day he will retire with a pile o' money and a SB ring. Not shabby

sucks, but yea, i think we all saw it coming. . . all you can do is say thanks and wish the guy the best. . .

at least he signed in the NFC. . . bears fans understand and appreciate good defensive football, and they know what a real linebacker looks like. . .they're gonna love danny. . . .

Everyone expected this and were prepared, we just were not prepared to go into full on rebuild mode offensively.

I just can't get mad at guys taking more money in their chosen profession, especially when it could all end in an instant. As long as you were a good teammate and helped the Broncos while you were here, and played hard, no hard feelings. Loyalty in football is great, and I will always appreciate life long Broncos more, but this isn't the 80s. Now the second the Broncos are playing against a former Bronco I want my team to crush them, just like anybody else.

Rapoport says four years, $28 million. Sounds about right for what we expected

Now Schefter says ...

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 16m16 minutes ago

LB Danny Trevathan’s deal with Bears totals $24.5M over four years and includes $12M guaranteed.

.... this kind of annoys me. That's really only $6 million a year for Trevathan. We could have paid that if we wanted, especially if we knew Brock wouldn't be back. Ah, what can you do? I think they like Todd Davis and we'll see what he has next year.

I predict that the number of INTs he gets during practice will double.

They loved Todd Davis and Cory Nelson. Inside linebacker was our deepest positions going into the season last year. You just have to As you move forward evaluate priorities when you have like players, which is what made me surprised when they offered Malik more than they had offered wolfe

Yes we were. The offense was terrible.

Stinks but JFE will let good players walk if they likes the backup.

Worked with Pot Roast last year...assume it will work pretty well with Davis taking over.
