Not because he is wrong about how Manning played this year but how he used yesterday to start trying to tear the guy down. And for the record i dont remember too many people thinking Manning had a great season both from the fanbase or the commentators. Everyone pretty much knew Peyton struggled this year so why it is Williams decided to pick a fight with a guy on twitter is baffling. But, maybe he is still butthurt about his team getting beat in the playoffs.

Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/pittsburgh-steelers-team) running back DeAngelo Williams (http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/deangelo-williams-player) is not shy about sharing his opinions, and in the wake of the Peyton Manning (http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/peyton-manning-player) retirement news, Williams said what no one else will about the Denver Broncos (http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/denver-broncos-team) quarterback. Williams took to Twitter Monday morning in what originally began as a spat with CBS senior NFL columnist Pete Prisco about whether Manning was still effective as an elite quarterback last season.

Still salty about that playoff loss I see.

That was my first thought when I saw this yesterday.

Kind of a dick move to get his name in the news on the day everyone was celebrating Manning's whole career.

Manning got his second ring and the Broncos their third... All that matters...

Some players get in the news for breaking records, winning championships and entering the Hall of Fame... mediocre players get in the news for acting like Kanye

ah, glanced over it. who cares? whether he has a point or not, (I suppose he does), it's just one, maybe 2 seasons on the tail end (hopefully) of a HOF career. Ireally didn't need to be said, yeah, I don't respect this kinda thing either North, but deserves no more consideration from this broncosfan. if anything, just validates further my disdain for Steeler nation and their fans

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is not a subliminal-message guy. He's direct.

So it should be no surprise that Tomlin chin-checked his running back, DeAngelo Williams, with a blunt assessment of his banter over the quality of Peyton Manning’s play in 2015.

Basically, Tomlin told Williams to shut it down. Williams has been going back and forth with Twitter followers over Manning, tweeting that the future Hall of Famer 'couldn't play dead in a western' last season. Manning won his second Super Bowl with the defense-led Denver Broncos. His arm looked gone. Williams is right in noticing that.

I have always like Tomlin. He does no split words, he is blunt.

I have always thought highly of Tomlin. Williams is right that Manning didn't have a good season but show some class.

Someone needed to. What an a$$hole.

Well, unless I'm mistaken, this is the same guy who got pissed at his team mates when "not enough" of them showed up at his moms funeral.
