How does this work? A guy under contract can just choose to void his contract and go for a contract with some one else? If that's true why don't guys do that all the time?

Alex Mack (http://www.nfl.com/player/alexmack/71375/profile) is set to test the market.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that the Pro Bowl (http://www.nfl.com/probowl) center has officially voided the final three years on his contract with theBrowns (http://www.nfl.com/teams/clevelandbrowns/profile?team=CLE) and will become a free agent. Mack had an annual salary of $8 million on his now defunctBrowns (http://www.nfl.com/teams/clevelandbrowns/profile?team=CLE) deal, including $8 million guaranteed.

Mack's decision doesn't necessarily mean the end of his career in Cleveland. Mack has spoken positively about the direction of the franchise after the latest leadership reboot, but has stressed he wants to play for a winner. The Browns (http://www.nfl.com/teams/clevelandbrowns/profile?team=CLE) have gone 33-79 since Mack arrived as a first-round draft pick in 2009.

He must have a void clause in his contract that allows him to do that.

what font color is changed?

I use "work friendly" mode, as do others. The font color was changed to a light blue which is hard to read on a white background.

Dude will get paid big. Seattle should go after him but they have no money. We have no money and how many other contenders need OL help.
