Buy a case of Pepto-Bismol. Keep a customized stress ball within arm's reach. Wear a mouthpiece to ease the grinding of teeth.

The Broncos' methodical offense, which alternates from terrible to remarkable within the same half, isn't going anywhere.

The boss likes it. General manager John Elway admitted in the days leading up to the AFC championship game the style suits the Broncos, complementing a nasty defense.

"I know you can win world championships with it," said Elway, who has done just that. Twice.

The offense that won Elways championships EXECUTED (MUCH) better than this one, and had a FAR better line. He acts like he wholly forgot—IGNORED—that last part when expecting chumps to block for our RBs and Manning while he spent 1st round picks on elite CBs and LBs to warm the bench behind MULTIPLE even BETTER starters. The '97 and '98 teams could and did BLOW OUT opponents who weren't elite, including "killing the Patriots."

THIS team may have learned to "kick and scream," but still can't blow out even teams like Cleveland (whom we needed OT to beat AT ALL) or Oakland (who beat US, in OUR HOUSE.) I'm thrilled we've finally learned how to fight till the end of and thereby win tight games like the OT ones against Cincy and NE*: But I'm deeply concerned we had to win THREE OT games to get homefield. In elimination games, we need only come up only a little short ONCE, and we're DONE.

Sorry, I just can't do homerism anymore. I still love the Broncos, but grew up annually—PERENNIALLY—going through this with the Oilers: Refusing realism is just letting the team again check me into the permanent Heartbreak Hotel suite it built me. We've learned to kick and scream (yea!) but also let EVERYONE ELSE kick and scream (boo!) Winning MOST tight games is only good enough in the regular season; ask KC how many second chances contenders give even the streakiest team.

I thought everyone wanted tough, hard-fought wins.

Now you want blowouts?

I ALWAYS want blowouts (in our favor, of course.) But I know we can't always GET them, so must be ABLE to beat teams we CAN'T blow out by halftime—that doesn't mean I'm OK with letting crap teams like the Raiders hang around long enough to beat us with luck at the end. Our run-first championship teams would've blown them out as it did so many other non-contenders. But I'm not sure even Terrell Davis could be a 1000 yd rusher with THIS line. Speaking of what Elways career teaches:

After being selected by the Denver Broncos (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denver_Broncos) as the fourth pick in the first round of the 1983 NFL Draft (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1983_NFL_Draft), [Chris Hinton] was traded to the Colts for John Elway (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Elway). Hinton later said that he had "a good career, but I will always be known as the guy traded for John Elway." He went to seven Pro Bowls (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_Bowls), six with the Colts and one with the Atlanta Falcons (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta_Falcons). (Hinton also said "I used to always be kidded by the guys on the Colts, 'We could've had Elway instead of you.' And I'd say, 'Yeah, but you wouldn't have had anybody to block for him.'")
Neither did we, and the rest, as they say, is history. Specifically, historys BIGGEST SB BLOWOUT, and historys 5th biggest. Thank heaven someone got old-Elway the run support and protection young-Elway lacked, but if HE'D learned from that our last SB wouldn't have been historys 3rd biggest blowout.

denvers offense in the two sb years was one of the best offenses in the game??? they do not resemble this year in the least bit

1998...we had the 7th highest passing TDs, in 2015 we are the 5th worst...only four teams had less passing Tds than us

1998 we were the 2nd ranked rush offense.....2015 17th

1998 we were the 7th ranked in passing yards....2015 14th

1998 we were 22nd in INTS...of course we all know 2015 #1

1998 we were the 3rd ranked total offense...2015, 16th

I just don't see how he can compare this years putrid offense to those years...perhaps if we let brock start from day one ya I believe we would be close
