View Full Version : WHEN the Broncos make it to Super Bowl 50, who's gonna go?

I am! Buying the tickets as soon as they go up for sale.

I went to the NFC Championship game with the Giants and 49ers a few years ago. I know all the best restaurants and things to do while there.

If any of you are going, let me know and I'll help you make a game plan for the trip.

I did a Quilt Show across the street from the Stadium in Oct. Hotels in the area were about $ 350.00 a night then. My promoter has a contract for a block of rooms so we paid a lot less, but I'm thinking the show will have to move once the contract expires. Hotels costs are off the charts out there so I can't imagine how expensive the rooms will be for the Super Bowl and parking there isn't that much again....off the charts.

Since the Broncos are the home team and they have selected white jerseys to play in the Super Bowl, what would be the best color jersey to wear to the game; orange, white or blue?

I'm thinking no on the blue as Panthers fans will have theirs. I'm leaning towards orange so we can drown out the blue.

What do you think?

I'm so torn on this. My family all wants to watch this game with me and none of them will fork up the cash to go. Same with most of my friends. Then, I want to splurge on a nice vacation a few weeks after the SB for my kids. On top of that I am spending a ton of money in legal fees fighting my ex in court.

I don't know right now but I need to make a decision soon. I am thinking I will really regret this if I don't go. If we lose like we did against Seattle I will be glad I didn't. Chance of a lifetime if we win...

There's also a huge SuperBowl party up in Sacramento and I could always go to the events during the week in Santa Clara.

Weather last night was perfect btw but it is supposed to start raining again soon. I hope the weather will be like it was last night during work.

The rain has been off and on with alot of windows in between. It's been hitting late at night but this is along way away still. This forcast will most likely be different. The weather here has been bipolar to say the least.

But...I really hope it doesn't rain that day. This would work on Carolinas favor with Cams running abilities.

Even in the down seasons rooms in SF rarely go that cheap unless you are staying near the airport and you buy on hotwire or something.

Lol! Yeah I checked prices around the stadium, they were all $1000+ for 2 nights and $1500+ for 3 nights.

My wife is a super bargain hunter and found a room on AirBNB where it's like Uber for people's spare bedrooms. They rent them out like a timeshare for the house.

The pricing was normally $50 a night, the rates went UP to $75 per night. You basically stay in their spare bedroom in their house.

Doesn't help my serial killer vibe I know.

Yeah it's really just to sleep, shower and change. I won't be sitting in one place too long.

I went to the NFC Championship between Giants and Niners a few years ago with my buddy and his daughter. We did all the sight seeing stuff like the tour of Alcatraz and eating at the Pier. I'm going to dedicate 100% of my time with Broncos activities.

Should my "Peyton Manning is PLAYING POSSUM" thread be my official Super Bowl blog for the trip? I think it's only fitting; I predicted ALL of this was going to happen back on October 12th.

If and when we win I fully expect everyone to eat crow about that thread, myself included. But I hope you do realize without this defense Manning would not be going anywhere and I love me some Manning. He needs to dig down and play lights out. We're going to have to play a perfect game and Manning will have to use not just his football IQ but his arm too. I suspect at some point in this game that it will fall on his shoulders.

Manning lost his last 2 Super Bowls because he didn't have a defense. It took Elway for him to realize that, just wish they would have brought in Kubiak instead of Fox then, we might already have a few more Lombardis under our belt.

Defense wins Championships, too cliche?!

Others thought a chance to see Peyton Manning in what could be the final game of his career was worth the cost.

"I've never been to a Super Bowl game, and I think this one is going to be good with Carolina's offense and the Broncos defense," said Connie Offermann, a Denver native. "But I'm most excited to see Manning. If we win, he can retire on a good note and he'll go out a winner. That's very cool."

http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_29438818/denver-broncos-season-ticket-holders-see-their-super

So I live in Vegas, never had season tickets before. What's the story with this? If the team goes to the Super Bowl you have to enter a lottery to even buy a Super Bowl ticket? Season Ticket holders aren't given the right to buy without the lottery?

Looks like ticket prices have dropped a bit. I am guessing the closer it gets to the game there might be some good deals out there. Looking online on Craigslist there are obviously some scams anywhere between $1500 to $2000 a ticket. The legit sites are now going for $3200 on up for solo tickets and less than $3000 if you purchase them in pairs.

DAMN! The ticket I bought was the cheapest one I could find, bought it as soon as the Broncos beat the Patties.

I would be VERY wary of anyone selling Super Bowl tickets that aren't from a legit box office. You'll find yourself tailgating in the parking lot once you're denied entry for having a fake ticket.

Does anyone know if the vuvuzela horns are allowed in NFL stadiums? (The horns you hear during soccer games) I swear I heard one during the Packers Cardinals game.

I bought one along with an air horn for the Super Bowl, is there any issues with bringing either of these into the stadium?

8381

Here's my Super Bowl Amazon order, Jersey, clear bag and backpack, collapsible vuvuzela and air horn.

Also, does anyone know when and where I would get the opportunity to get autographs from Broncos players before or after the game? If I do nothing else I would really like to get some autographed memerobilla.

I remember after the Seattle SuperBowl, Peyton said he was shocked how many Seahawks fans were there and how loud it was. He said it definitely was an advantage for the Seahwaks having so many fans there.

Does anyone know if the vuvuzela horns are allowed in NFL stadiums? (The horns you hear during soccer games) I swear I heard one during the Packers Cardinals game. I bought one along with an air horn for the Super Bowl, is there any issues with bringing either of these into the stadium? <img src="http://www.broncosforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=8381"/> Here's my Super Bowl Amazon order, Jersey, clear bag and backpack, collapsible vuvuzela and air horn. Also, does anyone know when and where I would get the opportunity to get autographs from Broncos players before or after the game? If I do nothing else I would really like to get some autographed memerobilla.

Do you really think anyone is going to be signing anything on game day before or after the SUPER BOWL? And we get it, you're going to the Super Bowl and bought some shit. Cool. We all know. I hope you have fun and it's wicked awesome you're going but JFC.

You might be able to get some autographs if you catch them leaving practice, or leaving or coming back to their hotel.

My flight doesn't get in San Jose til around noon on Saturday. The chances of catching either of those scenarios seems pretty low.

For all you old schoolers, any of you catch the parade in Denver after Elway won those Super Bowls? Do they do anything like that before or after that? If so I'd make one last stop in Denver....once they win of course.

Don't all the players go to Disneyland after a win? Could definitely hunt them down there.

Lol.

"Old schoolers" are those who remember the 1977 Super Bowl run.

And, no. Everyone doesn't go to Disneyland. The MVP gets paid to say he's going there.

I don't know either but I'm basing this off the assumption that it's the biggest game of their lives and signing autographs is probably not on their agenda. Injured players that aren't playing or game day inactives maybe but who wants their signatures anyway? ;)

Ever where they go is on buses. You might catch a player if they let you into the hotel but you have to recognize them. I think security has gone up a whole lot since the San Diego Super Bowl. Just enjoy the game and make sure everything fits into the clear bag. I have no idea about the horn and other stuff.

Great advice, I found where they are staying so I'll try to get there after the game at some point. Or in the morning before they leave.

Santa Clara Marriott is the Broncos hotel.

I'm thinking the same thing Joe...I'm pretty sure that's a no...no. There was a cow bell at the last game so I'm thinking that might be safe, but I would look on all sites before hand. Security is super high from everything I'm seeing on the TV.
