I do not think we would have made it out of wild card round with our injury list this was very needed and deserved.

Team has four turnovers tonight, and is the only team out of the nearly 40 times it happened this year, to win while being -4 in TO's and first since 2012. Let's not even talk about Oline woes/injures.

I'm sure the list goes on and on, but still the team has the best defense in the NFL and one of the best in many decades, and is the #1 seed.

For what it's worth, down 14-0 vs. Cincy, the MNF people said two 14+ comeback wins in a single season tied an NFL record, which we then (presumably) broke.

Fair enough, and that makes a lot more sense (14 pt comebacks aren't THAT rare, but vs. playoff teams is a whole other story.) Sure sounds like kicking and screaming: Had we lost today, NE* and Cincy would be the #1 and #2 seeds—but we WON, and that plus 14 pt comeback clutch wins against those two tough opponents make US #1 seed instead. The sole reason AFC seeding got so complicated was us holding tiebreaks over BOTH of them but not KC.

Even technically, he was right on what the announcers said DURING the Cincy game, while we trailed 14-0: Winning that one just added an unprecedented #3.

It's funny, I remember being really tense about that game because both Manning and Dalton need this bye, but they'd already clinched a playoff spot and we hadn't, so I was really relieved when we won, because we just COULDN'T lose at home vs. SD, and "technically, we could even get homefield if NE loses @Miami, but what are the odds of THAT?" Better than I thought. :)
