DENVER (CBS4) – Cody Latimer waited a season-and-a-half for his first career touchdown, but when he found the end zone last weekend against the Bears, he knew exactly how he wanted to celebrate.

“We did the pose,” said 8-year-old Carson Cline, mimicking the arms-crossed pose he did with Latimer a few days before the game. “And (Cody) said that would be his new touchdown pose.”

“Guess what happened at the game?” Carson proudly asked CBS4’s Mark Haas this week. “He made the TD and he actually did that (pose) at the game.”

I saw Latimer make the pose during the game and didn't think much of it until I saw the news story about why he did it. It was pretty awesome that after Latimer's first touchdown in the NFL he remembered *instantly* to do that pose for Carson. Good on you, Cody Latimer.

Cody Latimer Player Contributor Wide Receiver

My first touchdown against the Chicago Bears was good, but it was more of a relief. I finally got to show everybody what I can do and that I can make plays when the ball comes my way, but it was a relief to myself.

It’s a big weight off my shoulders and it happened to come during a good week after I visited Carson, a patient at Colorado Children’s Hospital. When I was visiting with Carson, he said, Man we need to get you in the end zone and get you some catches, and I’m like, They’re going to come. Then I asked him, What would you do if you were in the end zone?

And then he did his little pose with his arms crossed in front of him. Right then I promised him that when I get in the end zone I would do his pose. So on Sunday, as soon as I got in the end zone, it was the first thing that popped into my head.

I told this young guy that I’m going to do his pose for him and that was the first thing I thought of when I scored.

1. Carson's message for Latimer

Wide receiver Cody Latimer met Carson Cline at Children's Hospital Colorado two weeks ago. During his visit, Latimer made a promise to Carson that he would make his favorite touchdown pose when he made his first NFL touchdown -- and he did.

Now, Carson has a special message for Latimer:
