Taking into account their final drive in KC and having a long 10 days to enjoy up beat practices, there is really no excuse for Denver to not break out on offense.

I expect a high scoring game by Denver and nothing less. This game shouldn't be close by halftime.

I agree. Kubiak can't ignore what the run game did when CJ got hot late last season. Good coaches coach to the strength of the personnel they have. Wade Phillips is doing it on defense and now it's the offense's turn. The one thing that is yet to be seen is will this equal more no huddle or will it be more huddles and just more shotgun. We'll see.

To be fair, predicting our D scores isn't going very far out on a limb, considering they did so in both games so far (touch wood.) But, y'know, hubris ate nemesis:

After 9 days loafing, our D allows more points in a game than our offense scores in 3, and our line plays so badly the water boy, towel boy, two guys from the stands and a hotdog vendors start the 2nd half.

Eminently possible, but don't count on it: Detroits run D (the only one better than ours in 2014) has sharply declined to essentially an average ranking, but it's pass D is an abysmal unit letting opponents complete 81.4% of passes so far (and remember: They played Teddy Bridgewater last week.) 34-year-old Rashean Mathis has 13 solo and no assisted tackles through 2 games, which would be great stats for a LB, but, for a CB, just suggest allowing 6 catches/week even when he always makes the tackle (and so really means even more catches surrendered.)

Their pass D invites exploitation; we just have to protect our HoF QB. If the ZBS racks up tons of rushing yards instead, even better, but I doubt it'll be as easy. It's important unpredictably do the unexpected, but I wouldn't want to miss a golden opportunity by outsmarting ourselves, attacking our own greatest weakness instead of theirs.

Our D's been amazing so far, but let's be realistic: Any team with a 4:1 turnover edge shouldn't need a 2:00 drill and FIFTH turnover to escape a loss. Last week, our offense cost the D a TD with three-and-outs repeatedly sticking it back on the field most of the 2nd half, and the D cost ITSELF another by being "aggresive" to the point of stupidity with 15 yd penalties after the whistle. Detroit has the best WR in the game, a pretty good one opposite, half a dozen more behind them and a pretty good QB to find them, so this won't be a walk in the park even with their line and our QB, WRs, CBs and pass rush.

I frankly think this could be a blowout either way, or anything between the two. Until our line goes on a vision quest and finds itself there are no guarantees, and passings variance always exceeds the runs.

All true, but i think they can feel good that the bad teams they are playing they are destroying and not taking them lightly. I think bringing it every week is important to teams with championship aspirations. But like you said i expect their scores to drop a little bit when playing better competition.
