NFL (http://bleacherreport.com/nfl) players and fantasy football usually don't mix. The players hate hearing about how they affected someone's fantasy team—good or bad. Plus, one can only imagine how many mentions they get after a bad game because of fantasy implications.Denver Broncos (http://bleacherreport.com/denver-broncos) running back C.J. Anderson has been seeing a lot of negative talk about his performance on Twitter after a lackluster 56 yards in two games, and, frankly, he doesn't care.

Anderson had the following to say to fantasy owners (via the Denver Post (http://www.denverpost.com/kiszla/ci_28868141/broncos-running-back-c-j-anderson-knows-why)): "You can sit me for 17 weeks. It would not bother me one bit. I don't care. I saw something on ESPN: 'Is C.J. Anderson a fantasy bust?' I wish I could call ESPN and say: 'Tell them to drop me. … Every owner can drop me.'"

He sounds sour. Maybe he should just produce like he did last year and make everyone shut up. Do your talking on the field CJ.

I actually don't blame him. Asking a professional athlete about his "fantasy football" stats, is just irritating. Pro's don't (and shouldn't) care at all about their fantasy numbers or 'fans'. Its about the team winning, and doing your job to help them win that game.... period. That's it.

I don't blame you CJ, I'd have the same answer.

Dear Mr. Anderson,

It isn't your fault that the Broncos offensive line is stinking like wet garbage on a hot day.

Thanks,

Shazam

All pro athletes should follow suit.

You can not care whether or not it affects fantasy teams while being angry that you constantly have to hear it. There's no hypocrisy here.

There's a difference between caring more about the team than ones stats and having a huge chunk of fans essentially say you won't play well enough ALL YEAR to be worth having. No one wants to be generally seen as a bust, in fantasy or reality. If we win a SB while all his fantasy "owners" have him benched though, I'm sure he'll laugh all the way to bank.

Comes with the territory. But I'm sure it does get annoying.

ESPN sucks. Everybody should be boycotting their sorry ass.
As for CJ, 2.3 yards a carry, hmmm those are Montee Ball type numbers. Maybe it wasnt all montees fault either.

I dont think it was.

Hillman looks best right now but I find it hard to believe CJ can't put up more than 2.3 ypc. Proof is Manning is under constant pressure too. Sonif you're running game AND passing game are under producing then tells me we have OL problems.

Except there's money on the line.

He is letting it affect him too much on Twitter and needs to grow thicker skin.

Most are much better at math than most FF players, too (except the lib arts majors, poor things.) Fantasy football's for people who've never played enough D&D nor magic to realize the similarities.
