Hopefully Kubiak doesn't handcuff Oz with super conservative play calling like Fox always did. Let the kid show what he's got.

Last night, I caught some of the SD Dallas game. Fouts was one of the announcers. The other announcer ask Fouts if the Chargers could contend in the division. Fouts said something like - Yes, they can. Denver will stumble along the way." AND then he said - "They have a 97 yr old quarterback". Well Fouts, IMO you have replaced Phil Simms on my list of JERKS.

I heard that too. He expected us to stumble along the way for so,e unknown reason other than Peyton is 97 years old now. Obviously the rest of the team is too. I never had any issue with fouts but I don't like him now. I really dislike any non bias announcer.

Always interested in Brock in preseason but will be focused on Latimer if he plays much.

Cool story but Rivers isn't exactly a spring chicken heading into his 34th birthday and has lingering injuries of concern of his own.

Plus that relocation is going to hang around their head like an albatross all year.

I know that, but would it not have been a little more professional to say something like - Manning is up there in age, rather than saying they have a 97 yr old QB

GO BRONCOS!

I'm looking forward to seeing Brock play in Kubiak's system, looking forward to seeing this young offensive line. Hopefully the zone heavy scheme helps and they are able to gel and play well. I CAN'T WAIT to see this Defense, even if it's short Ware, our ILBs, etc.

I want to see the run game flourish, Brock look like a future franchise guy, Latimer and Green show they can be major contributors. Green already is as a blocker, but I want to see it as a receiver.

Seattle just cut one of their main DT this season due to all the new Co tracts. McDaniels was cut who was the main run stuffing DT. Bennet is the guy to watch out for. Seattle is always aiming to hit hard no matter what so I hope no injuries.

2. Broncos arrive in style

Yesterday, the Denver Broncos made their arrival in Seattle to prep for their first preseason game on Friday.

Even though the travel dress code was described as ‘casual’, the Broncos turned the DIA tarmac into a runway:

rest of article and photos of some of the players at DIA. If I remember correctly, when the Broncos traveled under Fox, he made them wear suits.

After watching Oz's entire career here at ASU I wasn't very impressed.
I didn't care for his demeanor or decision making on the field.
This was in the pass happy, wild west Pac-10 at the time.

Oz has been coasting with Denver taking in a nice check.
I hope Brock has learned a lot and I hope he does well.
I'm glad he will be playing with some of the starters.
Time to see if he has what it takes to play in the NFL.

I know many argue that a player's college career has no impact on his NFL days.
I can only size him up by the attitude he displayed.

I think Mr. Elway already knows exactly what to expect of Oz.
We will see tonight if Oz is the "future" of which some of you speak.

I'm so glad the season is almost here.
I want to see this O-line gel as a unit and become a well oiled machine !

GO BRONCOS !!!

Observations, musings and confusing meanderings while watching the game (Had to watch on tape delay, and have not read this thread at all).

First half:

Pete Carroll is a gigantic douche.

Ray fooled on some misdirection early, but helped force the fumble on the Seahawks second drive. He got the FF in his state line in the second quarter. Good play by him. I don't know if he actually went offside on his offsides penalty.

Thanks Hauschka, weak-legged kick. Wanted to see Patton. Nevermind. WTF? (Second quarter).

Left side of line looks bad early. On early bootleg on first drive and first run on second drive. Much better on Montee Ball's first run (next play). Looked better in pass pro. Much better in pass pro and later in the game.

Nice to see Green involved early. Redux: VIRGIL GREEN!

Osweiler looks pretty composed. Short-armed the pass to Latimer and the deep ball to Caldwell. He came right back after the deep ball and completed four straight passes on that fourth drive.

Backup OLBs look pretty good, especially Shaquille Barrett.

I wrote "cut Hillman" after his first two plays - missed the play-action call and the first run was atrocious - but the next three were pretty decent. He's never going to be an inside runner, but if he can do that change of pace stuff on the outside he should have a role. Now in second quarter, we will chalk my earlier thoughts up to "small sample size."

Kickers look just fine. Nothing to see here. Coverage team looked bad, though.

I hope we hear "Osweiler to Latimer" for a long time. Would like to see both succeed.

After a shaky start, run game looks pretty good midway through the second.

I know it's preseason and it means nothing, but the play calling was not predictable.

Caldwell sucks. Tony Carter sucks. I hope some of the young guys can step up and replace both. Latimer has to be the definitive No. 3, maybe Norwood can step up. Curtis March at corner?

Sylvester Williams has looked pretty decent tonight.

Osweiler's first down pass to Norwood at the 2:00 mark of the second quarter after the false start. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Yup. That whole damn drive. Great job Brock. That was awesome.

Second half:

Pete Carroll is a gigantic douche.

First drive led by Dysert was pretty forgettable.

WTF is up with the kick coverage? It's early right? Nothing to see here? Hope so.

Seattle's back ups suck and I'm perfectly OK with that.

Up and down the roster, Elway has compiled a roster that can go get the quarterback. Dammit that is fun.

And Norwood. WTF? Why can Denver not find a damn returner that will hold on to the ball. Bring back Holliday. At least he scored touchdowns.

Front seven looks solid (I know I'm watching backups now, but even so...).

Curtis Marsh for cornerback.

Dysert is not having a good game.

I think the Archer cat might have lost his job in Seattle on that bad fumble. Gerald Rivers made a few good plays. Don't even know who he is.

Shaquille Barrett did have a nice night. Thanks Zappolo.

One play and Siemien looks better than Dysert.

Seattle celebrating like its the playoffs, as usual. Douche bags.

Nice ball by Siemien to Fowler (the deep ball).

Jeremy Stewart looks better than Juwan Thompson. Who would have thought Hillman would look the best?

McManus played well. We've seen the bad, though, so hopefully he can keep it up. Need a big-legged kicker in Denver, IMO.

Only preseason game I ever care about winning. **** Seattle and **** the way they celebrate during preseason games. Bunch of douche bags starting with the head coach.

Just finished watching the second half this morning. As I said earlier, my biggest takeaway from this game was Brock looking good. Very encouraging sign. Maybe it was the fact that Manning didn't play at all, and maybe it was the new offense, but Os didn't feel like a second string QB out there to me. This might be what life after Manning looks like.

The jury is still out on the o-line. Hard to tell how many backups Seattle had out there in the first half against us. In the second half, we had virtually no running game, though, and that group included Garland, Gradkowski, Smith, etc, so maybe those guys are down to second string for a reason. Smith in particular missed that one play in the second quarter where Ball could have easily scored a TD.

Speaking of which, I wish we had finished a few more drives. Isn't this the knock that a lot of people have on Kubiak's ZBS? Good in between the 20's, but falters in the red zone?

Glad to see McManus make some long FG's, but besides that, the ST in general was not good. Back to the drawing board this week.

Defense was solid all night. First stringers looked motivated, and I think this is just a preview of Von being a game wrecker every week.

Good first look at our boys. Bronco football is back!

Edit: Almost forgot the other QB's. I thought Siemian looked much more like a real QB than Dysert. I wanted to see that kid Taylor get involved, but Bennie Fowler looked good, especially on that deep ball from Siemian. Isn't Fowler one of your boys, UR?

Apparently Siemian was hand picked by Kubiak, that's absolutely frightening. If Osweiler fails we may be looking at a depth chart full of TJ Yates.

If Osweiler fails Elway will look for another franchise quarterback.

You forgot to mention that Pete Carroll is a gigantic douche bag.

Kenny Anunike-Beast! The dude was everywhere

I would like to see him against first stringers before I form an opinion.
