Although veteran wide receiver Wes Welker (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/5941/wes-welker) wants to continue playing in the NFL despite suffering three concussions in nine months, former teammateChamp Bailey (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/1758/champ-bailey) hopes that doesn't happen.

"I don't want Wes to play for my own personal reasons. I've seen him get concussions. It scares me," Bailey told Fox Sports. "I think he can still play, but I don't want him to play because of these concussions.

"This thing is no joke. It's a serious thing when you start talking about your head. And for him to have to worry about that at a young age that he is now, he has to think about that for years to come, and I just hope he hangs it up and not strap it up again."

I'm not really sure how concern for one's health from a friend and teammate would warrant a response of "STHU". It's not like Champ is demanding he retire, he's just expressing concern for his well-being.

Sorry BW, I didn't realize this was a humor free zone. Relax man

With as many people who have been bashing those of us who are saying Wes should retire, I legitimately wasn't sure if you were serious or not. My mistake man.

With his concussion history, for his long term health, he probably should. The only thing that eludes him at this point in his career is a Super Bowl ring.
