KUSA—Geez, Shane Ray practices one time and the Broncos give him nearly $4.9 million.

Ray, the Broncos' first-round draft pick --No. 23 overall --, agreed to a four-year, $9.116 million contract Monday. The deal included a signing bonus of $4.891 million.

The contract agreement was reached hours after Ray participated in his first practice with the Broncos. A pass-rushing outside linebacker from Missouri, Ray had been sidelined with a big right toe injury since his Tigers' Citrus Bowl win on Jan. 1.

Seeing mixed numbers on what Ray is getting. Here's the article from PFT showing 9 mill with 5 million signing bonus. Not sweating the details but 3 articles ive seen and numbers are off....

On Monday, linebacker*Shane Ray*practiced for the first time with the Broncos. He also signed his first NFL contract.

Via the*Associated Press, Ray has agreed to a four-year dealworth approximately $9 million, with a $5 million signing bonus.

Ray slid to No. 23 in round one due to a marijuana citation the week of the draft and concerns regarding a toe injury that some teams believed would require surgery. The Broncos believe the situation will improve with rehab

Has everyone from this draft classed signed a contract?

Oddly enough, everyone with the exception of the one player that won't see the field this season. Heuerman is the only one unsigned.

Is that the TE that got hurt? Maybe that is what put the snag in negotiations?

That seems likely.

I think because he was hurt in organized activities his injury cannot be used against his contract
