At a podium at Dove Valley, only 10 yards from the practice field where players etch their names into the lineup, Darian Stewart stood before the media and addressed one of the Broncos' scant vacancies: free safety.

The position opened this offseason when Rahim Moore bolted for the Houston Texans. As far as Stewart is concerned, the job posting closed when he signed a two-year, $4.25 million contract in March.

"It's my position to lose," Stewart said Wednesday. "When I line up, man, I feel like at this level you've got to have that confidence. When I signed here, man, I knew it's my job."

We are one year removed from the highest scoring offense in history.

Manning was on for another 5000 yd season at week twelve

Two of our receivers were in the top ten in pretty much all categories

Cj lead the league in yds from November onwards

We have 11 pro bowlers

An all star pass rush

The best secondary in the league

We have won nearly forty games in 3 years

That's a pretty high bar.


Sure I was devastated at the end of last year, and also the year before, and the year before. But part of the reason I was so distraught was because our bar is so high - 3 straight super bowl appearances should have been a reality

When the pats beat tebows Broncos I was not bothered, because we were over achieving even being in that game - that was a low bar
