Team owner Pat Bowlen has been elected into the Broncos' Ring of Fame this year as the 28th member of the group, the team announced on Wednesday following the club's annual selection committee meeting. His addition will be made official at halftime during the Broncos' Week 8 game against the Packers on November 1.

With over three decades of NFL experience exemplifying a devotion to consistent and sustained success that has seen the Broncos rise in the NFL ranks as one of the league's top franchises, Mr. Bowlen has been a steady guide as his teams have won 61 percent of their regular-season games, earning 17 playoff trips and six Super Bowl appearances, including two Super Bowl victories.

This is a great idea.

A testament to Pat Bowlen’s humility, prez/CEO Joe Ellis says Mr. B's response to ROF news was: “Why the hell would you guys do that?"

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Team owner Pat Bowlen has been elected into the Broncos' Ring of Fame this year as the 28th member of the group, the team announced Wednesday following the club's annual selection committee meeting. His addition will be made official at halftime during the Broncos' Week 8 game against the Packers on Nov. 1.

The popularity of the Broncos has risen over the past three decades, as the team has been recognized as "America's Team" by a 2014 Harris poll. The success on the field has been matched by the fans' devotion, making opponents' trips to Denver tough challenges. In fact, the Broncos' have the NFL's best home record (181-67) during Pat Bowlen's tenure, the NFL's best attendance at home games and the team has sold out every game during his ownership. The fan experience has been a priority for Mr. Bowlen, as shown by his investment in Sports Authority Field at Mile High's construction and its upgrades.

There is perhaps no player who knows Mr. Bowlen's impact than the player so central to that success on the field than Executive Vice President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway.

None more deserving than Mr. B - He is the Denver Broncos.

When you go to the Broncos website, the first thing there is a video honoring Mr. B, plus John and Kubes talking. Not long ago, ch9 was talking about this and said it is not known at this time if Pat will be able to attend the game.

Lol @ Bowlens response, "why the hell would you guys do that".

Showing nothing but humility even when he is one of sports best owners. In my opinion he is the best!

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Through the fight with Alzheimer's disease, there remain good moments for Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen, when the quiet confidence and sense of humor that defined his personality for his working life are evident.

Wednesday was one such occasion.

President/CEO Joe Ellis, the man entrusted by Bowlen to run the day-to-day operations of the franchise, drove to Bowlen's home to visit with him and share the news of his selection to the Broncos Ring of Fame.

"I was glad he at least smiled and had a twinkle in his eye today when we informed him of it," Ellis said.

Can't imagine a Broncos fan on earth that wouldn't salute this. Hard to find men with literally no detractors among his peers - Bowlen is one of these men.

In the upper echelon of owners across sports in any period in history you want to compare.

I haven't been to the stadium since they put the "busts" in. Do all the ROFers get one?

Each member of the Ring of Fame has a bronze bust with a plaque to commemorate that player.
