Wade Phillips views havoc through constant pressure as the path to a successful defense. From 2011 to 2013 in Houston, Phillips' defenses blitzed an NFL-most 48 percent of the time when teams dropped back to pass, according to ESPN.

If last season's Broncos defense represented a Bunsen burner, this year figures to be a blowtorch.

Pressure keys include different looks, unpredictable calls, and long-yard situations created by solid run defense. The Broncos set a franchise-record for fewest yards allowed rushing per game last season, but lost linemen Terrance Knighton and Mitch Unrein in free agency.

Interesting that they want him to to do all of the things he never did in college

Don't worry coach, all these guys are raw material that will be refined into pure awesome by our coaching staff. And quickly, too! We all know how fast DTs learn in this league.

6th round pick. If he makes the roster it was a decent pick. If he contributes it was a very good pick. If he ever ends up starting it was a great pick.

Or................

If he makes the roster, it has something to do with our depth there. If he contributes, it says A LOT about our depth there. If he ends up starting, we need to start looking at NT's in FA and the draft for next year.

Or.........

He could turn out to be a great draft pick out of the 6th round like Terell Davis, Tom Brady, or Antonio Brown and how much he contributes has to do with his talent rather than being any reflection on the current roster.
