Broncos general manager John Elway sent a strong message to receiver Demaryius Thomas on Thursday. He disagrees with Thomas' decision not to report to offseason activities after the franchise tag was placed on the Pro Bowler.

"To be dead honest with you, I see absolutely zero value with him being away from here," Elway said during a news conference to discuss next week's draft. "Him being away from here, there is zero value not only to us, but to him. To me it makes no sense."

There's a sense in the industry that Thomas' situation is connected to Dez Bryant. The Dallas Cowboys' receiver also received the franchise tag and is not reporting. Whichever one signs first will likely set the market for the other.
