Do you think we will pick up anyone at the combine?

I actually think it is a great idea to hold this - there will likely be some hidden/forget talent there that will land on a few rosters

Wouldn't mind Carikker as a rotational DL.

Going to get shit for saying this, but wouldn't mind seeing if Sam has anything at OLB.

After the preseason Sam had last year I was surprised that he was out of the NFL (iirc). the Rams seemed at least a little high on him and then once cut soon forgotten.

Just connecting dots but Lestar Jean would make some sense if Denver didn't already have 20 WR's on roster.

Carreker started to put his career back together in DC but he's jst snake bitten.

Sam would literally be the slowest (and gayest) OLB in the NFL.

Jamaal Anderson was like #8 overall by Falcons.

Our DT's would be faster.

Adam Carikker is a guy that may get a shot somewhere if he can show that his knee is healthy.

He did 40 reps on the bp at 225. He'll get a shot.

I get that, and agree he seems like a long shot.

I am just basing it off some guys, doesn't seem to matter what their combine numbers are, just get it done on the field. He had a great(college) career and in his limited action in pre season seemed to do very well.

I don't know that he would ever be good enough to be a someday starter but I think he did enough for a look to see what he can do in the system with the pads on.

I don't think there's anybody on our roster he would displace.

Probably not, that is why I value him about the same as a undrafted guy that "could" have potential. Bring him in, see what he can do, if not enough, cut him no harm no foul.

My main reservation for Sam would not be seeing if a player that had high college production but low combine measurable can do anything, it is -is it worth trying out a "potential" with high baggage, meaning the freaking media storm that would follow. Probably not worth it.

I think most of the media storm surrounding Sam has tapered off and as being gay becomes more widely accepted in society there won't be any circus following him. Personally I admire Sam for standing by who he is and not wavering throughout all of it.

That said, no media storm would be worse than the one that came with Tebow.
