Hey, that punter got a thread, why not this guy?

Now Klis is saying $4 million, not 5. That's 20% better.

I like it. We need the depth. He came on a super cheap deal. It wont interfere much with us receiving comp picks. its a win win all around I think.

Wolf and Jackson can't play EVERY down, need SOMEONE to rotate in.

Apparently the base contract is 4 million but max value is 5. Must be some incentives there

Vance Walker - DL - Broncos
Broncos signed DL Vance Walker to a two-year, $4 million contract.
Walker didn't play much in Kansas City but he should have a chance to contribute with the Broncos, especially after Denver lost three of its defensive starters. He'll play tackle in defensive coordinator Wade Philips' 4-3 scheme.

The Broncos have added new 3-4 defensive end.

The team has signed Vance Walker to a two-year contract. An NFL source said the deal is worth $4 million.

Walker is 305-pound defensive tackle by trade who plays an "inside" defensive end in the 3-4 system the Broncos will use this year under the guidance of coordinator Wade Phillips and defensive line coach Bill Kollar.

Walker made $3.75 million last season for the Kansas City Chiefs. He is making the rounds through the AFC West as he played for the Oakland Raiders in 2013.

For clarity, Vance Walker's 2 year deal has max value of $5 million. But $4 million is the base

The Chiefs couldn't stop the run even with Poe at nt. This doesn't give me the goosy chill bumps.

Walker, who will turn 28 next month, was a college teammate of Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas at Georgia Tech. Walker was a seventh-round draft pick of the Atlanta Falcons in 2009.

Walker will rotate with Derek Wolfe and Malik Jackson as defensive ends in the 3-4.

Knighton just announced the will sign with the Redskins, 1 year 4 million dollars. Makes me wonder what we offered him if anything?

That is really weird since the Raiders apparently offered him $6million per year.

LOL, bet he is regretting turning down that Raiders offer. Way to go dumbass!

He turned that down trying to get more elsewhere. The Raiders then moved their attention elsewhere so their offer wasn't on the table anymore once the market softened for him. I believe they call this "bone in mouth disease".

It's the same thing that happened to DRC last year.

Walker is a solid depth pickup, but I fully expect Denver to nab a 3-4 End in the Draft, Jackson and Wolfe are RFA after the season.

DRC still did okay, though. If we offered him the same deal we gave Talib (6 years, 57 million) as reported, he ended up with 5 years, 35 million from the Giants. But as we know about NFL contracts, those numbers are mostly fluff. Talib got $11.5 guaranteed, DRC got $12 million. So it kind of worked out okay. This is different because it's shockingly less than what most people thought Knighton's market would be, and it's only a one year "prove it" contract.

Vance Walker in 2013, on multiple D-line pos.: "They’re all pretty much the same. You line up and you run that guy over in front of you."

I think they're unrestricted FA's, Lan.

Maybe having Vance walker on the team will help us land his brother Vance Joseph next year
